Mangal Lakshmi 8th December 2024 Written Update begins with Shanti leaving the house in anger. Kusum follows her and apologises, saying she tried her best to prevent all this from happening. Shanti assures her that she knows it is not Kusum’s fault and blames Adit entirely. She says he has brought shame upon the family and warns that once Soumya’s child is born, society will spit on their name. She worries that three lives will be ruined, Akshar, Ishana and Mangal. Kusum admits she does not know what to do. Shanti then shockingly suggests aborting Soumya’s child, calling it dirty blood.

Meanwhile, Soumya loses her balance while doing yoga and falls. Mangal rushes to help her and asks if she is alright. Soumya rudely tells her not to enter her room without permission. Mangal explains she only came because Soumya is pregnant and needs to be careful. Soumya insists she is fine and tells Mangal not to worry about her child. She orders Mangal to leave, and Mangal walks out quietly.

Kusum tells Shanti that this is a sin and she cannot do such a thing. She says the innocent child is not responsible for anyone’s mistakes and should not pay for the wrongs of others. Shanti reminds her about Ishana and Akshar, saying the world will always taunt them. She warns that Adit may stop caring about his own children and they will lose their father. Shanti says Kusum cannot sacrifice the future of two children for a life that has not yet entered the world. She calls this their chance to atone for everything Mangal has suffered because of Adit and insists this is a battle they must fight for Mangal and her children.

Mangal goes to view an apartment. The agent tells her to show it to her husband and mother in law, but she says her husband no longer lives with her. On hearing this, he questions why she still wears sindur. He refuses to give her the flat and tells her that women living without their husbands are not allowed there. He claims such women cause problems and says no one wants to take that risk. Mangal says her mother in law will live with her too. He accuses her of lying and says the sindur might be fake as well.

Elsewhere, Gayatri tells Lakshmi that Karthik has gone with Jiya because she picked him up and he agreed to have lunch with her. She says Karthik has always enjoyed Jiya’s company and cannot forget it easily. Lakshmi goes outside and sees Karthik leaving with Jiya. Karthik tells Jiya that he is only going with her because his car has broken down and asks her not to misunderstand the situation.

A neighbour visits Kusum and says she saw Adit at the maternity clinic. She assumes Mangal is pregnant with her third child and says it will be a blessing for the family. She adds that rumours about Adit’s affair will stop once the child is born. Kusum feels troubled about how to face the truth.

A beggar asks Mangal for food. Mangal goes to a cafe to order something for her and is shocked to see Soumya drinking with her friends. Mangal stops her and asks how she can drink if she is pregnant. Soumya snaps at her and asks why she appears everywhere. Adit arrives and asks what is happening. Mangal tells him Soumya is drinking alcohol despite her condition. Soumya’s friends congratulate her for her pregnancy and ask about her relationship with Adit. They ask who Mangal is, and Soumya says she is obsessed with her and keeps interfering.

Adit stops Soumya from drinking, but Soumya says it is only apple juice. Mangal insists she saw a champagne bottle in her hand. Unbeknown to Adit, Soumya had swapped the bottle after spotting Mangal. Adit accuses Mangal of creating unnecessary drama. Soumya then accuses Mangal of having issues with her pregnancy and says she is trying to ruin her child’s future by turning Adit against her. She tells Mangal to stop crossing boundaries and leaves. Mangal wonders if Soumya is truly pregnant.

Soumya reaches home. Kusum asks her to come along because they need to go to the doctor. Soumya tells her to take Mangal instead. Kusum reminds her that she has taken responsibility for the house and Mangal is out. Kusum calls Shanti and informs her they are taking Soumya to the clinic. Shanti replies that they will make sure the child is aborted.
