Sumeet was about to pick up her bracelet when Raunak intercepted her before she could catch sight of Shlok. Shlok felt a pang of hurt as he watched Raunak place the bracelet on Sumeet’s wrist, urging her to have his name inscribed in her mehndi. However, the mehndi artist mistakenly wrote Shlok’s name instead. Sumeet tried calling Shruti multiple times but instead received a text from Shagun, using Shruti’s phone, saying she was busy and would talk later. This left Sumeet confused since Shruti had never ignored her calls before.
Shlok’s uncle presented Sumeet with a painting he had created, but she failed to notice Shagun’s face inside the painting. Pankhuri suggested she examine it later, after her mehndi had dried.
Raj noticed Poonam carrying the painting and considered inspecting it, but once again, he was interrupted by Pankhuri. As a result, he missed seeing Shagun’s face. Pankhuri then attempted to flirt with Raj and asked about his relationship status. He explained that he was single and focused on Sumeet’s happiness before thinking about his own love life. Pankhuri falsely claimed to also be single. Meanwhile, Bitti told Shlok about Raunak’s questionable character, causing him to thank her by holding her hands. At that moment, Sumeet walked in and witnessed the interaction.
Shlok made it clear to Sumeet that Bitti was his childhood friend, but she maintained that their relationship did not affect her. She then showed her mehndi, which now had Raunak’s name instead of Shlok’s, surprising Shlok. Shortly after, Raunak arrived and got angry upon seeing Shlok’s name on Sumeet’s hand. He spoke harshly to Sumeet, causing Shlok to step in. However, Sumeet assured him that she could handle the situation and asked him to leave. Raunak continued shouting at Sumeet while she tried to explain that there must have been a misunderstanding.
Raunak’s heated reprimand caught the attention of the entire family, who quickly gathered around him. He aggressively erased Shlok’s name from Sumeet’s mehndi, causing her discomfort, despite her previous warning. In retaliation, she slapped him and reminded him that as husband and wife, they were equal partners and he had no right to treat her unfairly. Realizing that everyone was watching, Raunak changed his tune and pretended that it was all just a joke between him and Abhay. He even asked Abhay to verify his claim, stating that Abhay had bet that Sumeet wouldn’t stand for any mistreatment. Raj sternly warned Raunak not to cause harm to his sister, even in jest.
