Shiv brings Gayatri to the hospital. All are shocked to see her. Raghunath asks how dare she come out of the house. Does she not value her life? For the first time in six years, Gayatri says she is sorry she did not follow your orders and is speaking out against you for the first time. You can punish me, but I am here not as your wife but as Shiv’s mother. His brother stops Raghunath from stopping her.
As Shakti checks the reports, Gayatri brings Shiv into the room, hugs Shiv, and leaves. Raghunath comments that Gayatri has left the house after six years. Shakti thinks about why she never left the house in six years, and Mandira thinks she can’t do much now because she couldn’t do anything in six years.
Gayatri tells Dadi, “I had to go against Raghunath for you,” as Dadi is astonished to see her. Dadi claims that although I wanted Shiv to marry Shakti, I didn’t want him to suffer. Gayatri assures Shiv that their friendship will eventually blossom into love and that all she asks is for him to begin his life with the truth. What are you trying to communicate, Dadi asks? Gayatri advises Shiv to tell Shakti the truth if he feels it is right, as their relationship should be founded on the truth. When Mandira arrives, she overhears Gayatri telling Shiv to tell Shakti his secret.
Mandira says we can’t do that since it’s not just about them but also our family’s honor. Shiv asks, “So you want me to lie to get into a relationship with you?” Mandira believes this hospital and all of us are connected to this secret. It would be best to consider everyone before deciding; you cannot act alone. Shiv’s delight, according to Gayatri, transcends all others. What if Shakti informs others, wonders Mandira? Says Gayatri, she won’t. She seems honest to me, therefore if we want her to join our family, we need to be honest with her and have faith in her.
Gayatri responds, “You weren’t an outsider too; we didn’t know you, but we trusted you, and you have kept our family bound together.” Mandira objects, “But she is an outsider.” You have shown us the truth, and I have also demonstrated Shakti the truth. I have never asked for anything, but now that I am asking to be Shiv’s mother, I am letting him tell Shakti if it makes him feel better. Shakti will never consent to marry him, Mandira yells. Shiv responds, “Enough already. Keep in mind that you are speaking with my mother.”
