Dadi asks Shiv who he is thinking about. Shiv murmurs Shakti before he can stop himself. Nandu says to ask him about his heart. Koyal says you should think about rakhi. Shiv says I was thinking about how I can help her at the wedding. She ties a rakhi to him. Shiv doesn’t want to speak to her if Shakti marries Ranjan. Mandira believes Shiv won’t be able to talk to her afterward.

Shakti looks down on me because I am about to get married and leave the house soon. We have done everything together, and she always fought for me. She tells the family I do not know what to do without her there. Shakti says to call me, and I will come there to fight anyone you want to. Rimjhim smiles and says I understand… so we will start a new tradition. She ties a rakhi to her and says you’re not just my sister, you’re a brother too.

She says she will protect you no matter what. This is a promise, and only brothers can make it. Sisters can also protect one another. Shakti thinks she will find out whether Ranjan is good for her. Manorama says they are indeed sisters. Dharam says I do not believe they need my gift. Rimjhim and Shakti stop him.

I felt that I had a relationship with Shakti, so I asked her to be my friend, but I am a fool to say that. Shiv starts panicking and says my love is a curse. I cannot love anyone; anyone who loves me gets destroyed. Nandu says maybe you pitched the wrong relationship. Perhaps you should have asked her about a love relationship.

The Ranjan family arrives at Manorama’s house for Rakhi Bandhan. Shakti receives a scooter key from Dharam. Manorama calls them and says to look around. She asks Rimjhim to sit with Ranjan. She brings water, and Ranjan holds her hand while taking the glass, smirking at her. Ranjan’s sister says I came to tie Rakhi to Rimjhim. Shakti says Rimjhim tied his rakhi to me so that I would protect her. Be careful. He looks on as she smirks.

Shakti senses a strange feeling and quickly moves away. His brother subtly reminds him to stay composed. Ranjan confesses that he is struggling to keep his composure. His brother pulls Manorama aside and suggests giving Bubbly, Ranjan’s sister, something. Manorama agrees and promptly contacts Chacha for some money. Upon hearing the amount, Ranjan’s brother expresses his disappointment in the small sum and urges her not to insult them in this way. Manorama acknowledges his point and asks for an additional 1000 rupees, but he insists that it would be more fitting to give Bubbly some gold as it would impress their relatives.

He compliments Manorama’s bangles, to which she responds that they were a gift from her mother and she cannot part with them. He remarks that her mother is like a daughter to her, but Manorama refuses to give up the bangles. He questions if she is saying no to them, adding that they cannot guarantee her daughter’s happiness if she does so. Shakti overhears this conversation and reminds Manorama of the recent news about her younger daughter. This causes Manorama to become frightened and reluctantly removes her bangles. Shakti silently vows not to let them take the bangles.
