He murmurs Shakti before he can stop himself. Dadi teases Shiv, what is he thinking about her? Nandu suggests asking him about his heart. Koyal says you should be thinking about rakhi. Shiv says I was just thinking about helping her in her wedding. Koyal says stop it, she ties rakhi to him. Mandira fears Shakti will marry Ranjan and that Shiv won’t be able to talk to her anymore.
Rimjhim informs the family that Shakti is feeling down because she will soon be getting married and leaving the house. They have always been inseparable, with Shakti even willing to fight on Rimjhim’s behalf. Rimjhim can’t imagine not having her by her side. Shakti reassures Rimjhim that she will still be there for her, no matter what. Rimjhim knows this and decides to start a new tradition: tying a rakhi on Shakti’s wrist, making her not just a sister but also a brother. Shakti promises to always protect Rimjhim and reminds her that sisters can do so too, not just brothers. Shakti also plans to assess whether Ranjan is suitable for Rimjhim or not. Manorama and Dharam observe their bond and realize they don’t need any gifts from them. Shakti and Rimjhim stop Dharam from offering anything, knowing they have each other’s back already.
Shiv confides in Nandu, expressing a sense of connection to Shakti and a desire for her presence in his life. However, he regrets voicing these feelings and acknowledges his own foolishness. Nandu suggests that Shiv’s intentions may have been misunderstood and advises him to consider pursuing a romantic relationship with Shakti instead. This suggestion causes Shiv great distress, as he believes his love is a destructive force for anyone who reciprocates it. He recalls a tragic event involving someone who loved him and he reluctantly admits that he cannot love Shakti because she was simply a business partner to him, which ultimately fell apart as well. As Nandu gives Shiv some medication and helps him calm down, they both share a somber moment as Nandu realizes the depth of love that Shiv has to offer but fears that Shakti will be the one to finally make him understand his worthiness of experiencing love.
Ranjan’s family has arrived at Manorama’s house to celebrate rakhi bandhan. Dharam gives Shakti a scooty key as a gift. Excited by the surprise, Manorama calls over everyone to see it. She guides Rimjhim to sit with Ranjan while Shakti gets them some water. As Ranjan reaches for the glass, he slyly smirks at Rimjhim. Soon after, Ranjan’s sister mentions that she has come to tie a rakhi on Rimjhim’s wrist. However, Shakti intervenes and declares that he will be her protector instead. With a secretive smile, Ranjan acknowledges this exchange between them but Shakti feels uneasy and leaves the room. Seeing this, his brother advises him to stay in control while Ranjan admits that he is unable to resist his attraction towards Rimjhim. On the side, Manorama plans to give something to Bubbly and asks Chacha for some money.
Ranjan’s brother suggests a mere 1000rs? This offer may be considered an insult to us. Manorama agrees and asks for an additional 1000, to which he responds by reminding her that it is their first joint event and she should consider adding some gold to the mix. This will provide us with an opportunity to proudly flaunt our status to our extended family. As he compliments Manorama’s bangles, she politely declines, explaining that they were a gift from her mother and cannot be given away. He then questions whether she considers his daughter as her own, to which Manorama responds by offering to find another similar set of bangles but not parting with the ones she has on. At this point, he insists that if she refuses their request, they cannot guarantee his daughter’s happiness in the future. Shakti overhears the entire conversation and decides not to let them have their way. He reminds them of the recent scandal involving their younger daughter and how they should reconsider their demands. Fearing repercussions, Manorama quickly removes her bangles from her wrist. Shakti is determined not to allow them to take advantage of Manorama’s generosity.
