Suhaagan 17th August 2024 Written Episode Update opens with Koel insisting that Prabha cannot remain in their house. Vedant stands firm, saying they cannot send her away because Dadi’s condition improved when Prabha arrived. Koel taunts that a woman who could leave a small child and leave honest Rudra cannot be trusted. Vedant replies that the boy is grown now and Prabha cannot harm anyone. Manju points out that Dadi recovered after Prabha came and says Dadi will get completely better if Prabha stays. Koel plays the hurt wife and asks Vedant if he has made her a stranger now that his real mother has returned. Vedant reassures Koel that she is his world and makes it clear Prabha may stay only as a caretaker and not as family. Rudra backs Vedant, and Vedant even mentions discussing a salary for Prabha, asking how she could care for Dadi if she could not care for her son. Prabha promises to take care of Dadi and make her well. Swara supports Prabha and tells Vedant that if money is given she will still care for Dadi well. Vedant repeats that Prabha is not family and walks away. Koel quietly fears that if Prabha stays her long buried secret will come to light. Swara tells Prabha she will soon regain her rights as house owner, Rudra’s wife and Vedant’s mother.
Koel warns Swara that she has brought bad luck by bringing Prabha and vows that Swara will suffer for it. Swara answers that Koel will face punishment for her sins and calls Koel a stepmother. Koel threatens an attack but Swara says Ambe Maa is with them and will protect them. Koel storms off, while Prabha watches.
Meanwhile Dhwani searches for a missing bracelet. Abhimanyu confronts her and asks why she locked Prabha in the storeroom. Dhwani claims she went there only to fetch something for Teej and acts innocent to make Abhi believe her. Vedant remembers the painful moment when Prabha left his hand as a child. Swara checks on Vedant and asks him to share his feelings, but he refuses, saying he will not reveal his pain even to her. She offers him the bed, and they sleep separated by a net curtain.
Koel meets a snake charmer and asks for a poisonous snake to use against Swara. The charmer shows her a cobra and a krait, explaining that a krait bite can paralyse a person so their pulse seems absent and they are thought dead unless an antidote is given. Koel happily pays him and plans to use the snake on Naag Panchami, vowing a slow, painful end for Swara.
At home, Manju brings Dadi out and sees Swara making arrangements. Swara explains she wants to perform Naag Panchami rituals to protect the family, a tradition she learned from her own mother and Dadi. Manju is impressed and prays to Ambe Maa to protect Swara. Koel overhears and imagines the snake poison entering Swara’s body, deepening her resolve to carry out the plot.
