The episode of Udne Ki Aasha on 16th December 2024 begins with Tejas and Roshni going to their room while Renu asks Akash and Riya to settle in. Aaji asks if Renu has assigned them their rooms, and Renu says yes, adding that the new daughters-in-law are not familiar with village routines. Sayali offers to make tea, and Aaji calls Paresh to sit and chat. Meanwhile, Sachin tells Sayali that he feels something is wrong with Roshni. Sayali agrees, saying Roshni has seemed nervous since morning. Sachin tells her he has the same feeling, and Sayali warns him not to say anything that might make Roshni leave the house.

In another room, Riya complains about the strange smell around the house. Akash explains that the floors are cleaned with cow dung, which gives a traditional earthy scent. Riya looks horrified and says it is unhygienic, requesting Akash to ask Aaji for a room with an attached washroom. Akash tries to calm her, explaining that this is how village homes are built. Aaji overhears their conversation and enters the room. Riya awkwardly says she has a dust allergy and suggests staying in a nearby hotel. Aaji lovingly tells her that village life has its own charm and comforts, and once she adjusts, she will start to enjoy it.

Later, everyone gathers for breakfast. Riya complains that her phone has no signal, and Akash jokes about it. Renu instructs Sayali to serve tea and asks Roshni what her uncle would like to eat. Roshni gets nervous, unsure what to say. Sayali casually tells her that she must know his preferences. Renu stops Sayali and Roshni quickly replies that her uncle likes non-vegetarian food. Renu enthusiastically decides to prepare a lavish meal with non-veg dishes, including Dubai-style recipes like hummus and tandoori. Aaji raises an eyebrow and asks why so many special dishes are needed. Renu proudly says Sayali is a great cook and will handle everything. Aaji firmly says they will discuss it later and tells them to relax.

After breakfast, Renu and the other women go to the market to buy fresh vegetables. She appreciates the produce and says they will prepare everything before Roshni’s uncle arrives. She calls Sayali, who is busy bringing sugarcane from outside. Renu makes a snide remark about her timing, but Aaji interrupts and reminds everyone that the house should remain peaceful and united. Renu insists she never hurts anyone and gives Sayali a long list of dishes to make. Aaji scolds her and says she should also work instead of ordering others.

When Renu protests, Aaji tells her it is her responsibility until the Krishi Utsav ends. Sayali humbly says she will handle it, but Aaji insists Renu should cook and assigns her the duty. Shocked, Renu asks how she will manage alone. Aaji asks her to call both her daughters-in-law for help. Renu hesitates, saying they come from wealthy families and are not used to kitchen work. Aaji reminds her that in this house, everyone is equal and must share responsibilities.

Renu reluctantly calls Riya and Roshni. Roshni says that Sayali can help instead. Aaji immediately reminds her that she had cooked an entire meal during the cooking competition and can surely prepare food for her family. Riya tries to excuse herself by saying she only knows how to boil water, not cook. Aaji laughs and says if she loves eating food so much, she should also learn to cook it. Renu defends them both, saying Riya gets tired after dubbing work and Roshni is busy with her parlour. Tejas supports Renu, saying anyone can cook. Aaji sternly tells them to stop interfering. She instructs Roshni to grind coconut and chillies while Riya chops vegetables.

When Renu tries to make Sayali do the work, Aaji stops her and says Sayali will only supervise since she always works hard without complaints. Akash volunteers to help in the kitchen, but Aaji pulls his ears and scolds him. She warns him and Tejas to leave before she punishes them further. They run out quickly, laughing. Renu fumes quietly, planning to teach Sayali a lesson and show her place in the house.
