The episode opens with Armaan reprimanding Ruhi. She pleads with him, “Can’t you see my pain? I accidentally took those pills, but I truly want to do this.” He questions her sanity, to which she responds, “I understand that someone as strong as me wouldn’t normally consider this, but life has drained my strength. When you stumble constantly, the will to walk eventually fades away. My life is a constant struggle, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to carry on.” He advises her to keep trying, to which she replies, “I have tried multiple times. You know what life has done to me. It pushed me towards you initially and then towards Rohit. But now Rohit is gone, and I am left alone.”
Manish wants me to come home, while Dadisa opposes my leaving. It seems like everyone is passing me around like a ball, forgetting that I am a person with thoughts and feelings. But does anyone truly listen when I speak? As she cries, he offers her a glass of water and gently tells her to relax. She expresses her confusion- am I Ruhi Birla or Ruhi Poddar? Can’t I be Ruhi with my own identity? And he takes responsibility for causing this situation, wanting to make things right and see her happy again. It’s then that he notices Abhira standing behind them.
Abhira gets glucose water for Ruhi. Ruhi drinks it. Dadi turns on and off the light. She remembers Manish’s words. Madhav brings Vidya there and says Vidya has always stayed sad in this house, she stayed back for your sake, she had to leave her happiness, let Ruhi live her life, please. Armaan watches as Madhav brings Vidya there. Poddars bahu come home in doli/palanquin and go to Arthi/funeral. It’s morning, Dadi says I’m sorry, you are right, Ruhi should decide about her life.
She says if Ruhi goes today, then she will go from my heart; bahu stays in Sasural in any condition as it is her duty; if she leaves her duty, then she must leave her right; I will not stop Ruhi. If she leaves her duty, she won’t be able to return home, even when Rohit returns. She asks Ruhi what she will do.
Ruhi sees Armaan. Manish says you didn’t use love but rather fear. She says I have supported the truth. Abhira asks why Dadi is keeping conditions. Armaan says he doesn’t know.
Ruhi says I want to stay here. Manish asks what and who is here for you. Ruhi says hope. Vidya smiles. Ruhi says fate got me in this house, and I don’t want to fight fate. Suwarna says Aarohi wrote her fate herself. Ruhi says I was with Poppy even if she didn’t leave the house. Surekha says yes, it was her big mistake, don’t repeat it. If your happiness is here, then it’s okay. Abhira signs no to Manish. Ruhi hugs Manish and thanks him for his help. Suwarna, Surekha and Manish leave.
Dadi embraces Ruhi and plants a gentle kiss on her forehead. She expresses, “From this day forward, you are no longer my daughter-in-law but my daughter.” While Armaan enters the room, Abhira mumbles in her sleep. He kindly arranges her books and notices her notepad. Curiosity leads him to read her words of hope: “My mumma will get better.” He then reads another note saying Rohit is doing well and will return soon. Startled by his presence, Abhira asks why he checked her notepad. He replies, acknowledging her belief but pointing out that positive thinking does not lead to manifestation. This sparks an argument between them before he falls asleep. After a month, Armaan finds Abhira joyfully jumping and dancing. The song “Chal pade hum…” plays in the background.
He calls her out. She falls into his arms. He stops the music and asks what happened. She says, “This happened, check.” He glances at the phone. He smiles and says you have passed your 4th year exams. Yes, I have taken another step towards my dream, and Mumma will be proud of me. He hugs her. He says I will get some sweets, congrats. She plays music and dances. Vidya, Manisha and Ruhi see Armaan. Manisha says we forgot to smile, and your wife and you are partying. Ruhi leaves.
Vidya states that she did not eat, and Manisha inquires about her lack of food. Vidya kindly asks Manisha to refrain from commenting on the matter. Turning to Armaan, Vidya suggests that Ruhi could use a companion. Abhira remarks on Armaan’s tardiness upon seeing him outside Ruhi’s room. She deems him uninteresting as he presents her with healthy sweets. Gesturing for him to leave, Abhira forgives his prior absence when he explains that his mother gave him fruit for Ruhi. She takes a piece and encourages Armaan to depart, mentioning that she had already indulged in sweets earlier. Upon approaching Ruhi, Armaan offers her some fruit before taking her medication, but she is met with resistance. He persists and eventually manages to get her to consume the fruit, reminding everyone of the importance of living well together.
As Vidya and Dadi arrive, Ruhi eats something based on Armaan’s advice. Dadi says yes, I promised Manish I would make Ruhi my daughter. We must work hard to keep her happy. Ruhi has to try, and she has a bad habit of taking family support for everything. Dadi scolds her for it. Dadi scolds her, but Abhira says sorry, Dadisa, if a child remains a child, when will he grow up?
