The episode begins with Sanjay inquiring about Krish and the number of judges in a constitution. Charu signals to Krish for an answer. Krish responds with the number 5. Sanjay then proceeds to ask about the fundamental duties. Again, Charu signals to Krish for an answer. Krish states that there are 551 duties. This angers Sanjay, and he scolds Krish, saying that Maasa will never hire a loser like him. Charu watches silently. Armaan chimes in, saying that Dasisa won’t consider hiring girls in their household. He adds that she can reject Charu if she doesn’t qualify, but she should at least be allowed to interview. Armaan comfortingly embraces Charu and assures her that he will speak to Dadisa on her behalf. She leaves the room after this conversation.

Armaan, Maasa told me I would go to the temple, and you would take Ruhi to the therapist. He says I will go to the temple. She says you can’t go to the temple. She says I have made mannat for Rohit’s return, and you have to go there, and Dadi gets curd and sugar. She calls out Krish. He hides. Abhira asks him to go, why is he hiding. He says no. Dadi says he went to the office. She leaves. Krish says I don’t want to go to the interview.

Suwarna says Armaan took Ruhi to the therapist; it is Vidya’s duty; she could have told us or any other family member. Manish says Armaan is also… She says no, he is nothing to Ruhi. Armaan thinks Charu might have reached the office. Ruhi talks to the counsellor. She says she feels lonely, and I see just one face, Armaan. The woman asks if you feel safe with him. Ruhi nods.

Abhira asks why Charu is waiting for me. Krish says I don’t understand the law; all kids aren’t all-rounders; how shall I tell this? Why are parents so unhappy? Relax, I’ll let you know something, parents aren’t always right, but it’s not fair to blame them, go to Dadisa and talk to her, she says. He explains him to him. The girl says Krish didn’t come, so he calls Krish. Charu hides from Sanjay, who asks if he came in. She explains to him.

Armaan is en route and has instructed me to persuade Dadisa. I am intrigued by Krish’s interest in the internship. Dadi is anticipating Krish’s arrival. The young lady implores Charu to attend the interview. Charu falters. Dadi inspects her file. The man recognizes her as Dadi’s granddaughter and invites her to sit. However, without hesitation, Dadi dismisses the interview altogether. The men exit, leaving behind a scolding from Dadi directed at Charu. Abhira is determined to follow her dreams despite any obstacles. Armaan offers prayers for Charu’s success. Dadi rips up her resume, crushing any hopes of becoming a lawyer.

Abhira proclaims that I will become a successful lawyer and the world should be prepared. Manish inquires if they have come to conduct his interview. Surekha explains that they are here because his name has been recognized on the list of top businessmen. Manish eagerly poses for photographs. The interviewer seeks to know who he would like to acknowledge for his achievements. Manish humbly responds that shortcuts cannot achieve success and credits it to his family. He proudly mentions that even his great-granddaughter is involved in managing his business. The interviewer compliments him on looking youthful and mentions having a great-grandson, Abhira. This reminds him of Abhira with fondness. The girl receives a phone call, leading them to take a 5-minute break.

Surekha inquires, “Did you want to mention Abhira?” Suwarna responds, “He mentioned Abhir’s name.” Manish expresses uncertainty, “I wonder how Abhir is doing.” Abhira shares her concern, “My passport-size photo seems missing.” She frantically searches for it but instead spots the lawyer’s coat and smiles. Upon arriving at the office, Armaan notices Charu crying. Worriedly, he asks her where she has been and why she did not seek his support. Charu laments, “I felt alone and unsupported when Dadi told me that our house girls can’t have successful careers.” With determination, Abhira declares, “I, too, will wear a black coat and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves in court.” Armaan comforts Charu and reassures her that he is on her side.

Krish says Dadi and Dad are coming home. Abhira says we will do as we decided, fathers are strict on the outside, but soft-hearted. Sanjay slaps Krish. Everyone worries. Dadi asks Sanjay what is going on. Krish says he cannot become a lawyer. Sanjay gets angry and scolds Krish. He pushes Krish and asks him if he wants to become a lawyer. Abhira holds him. She says he doesn’t want to be a lawyer, so don’t force him. Dadi asks how dare you argue with Sanjay?

Abhira mentioned that you didn’t seem affected when he raised his hand, but it profoundly hurts when the rest of the world labels you as a loser. And if your parents say it, your entire sense of self crumbles. Is there anyone here who won’t support him? What kind of family is this? Sanjay responds by saying that it’s not his family at all. She agrees, acknowledging that she is an outsider and, therefore, exempt from following specific rules. But she also points out that what he is doing is wrong. He counters by mentioning that she doesn’t even have a father to teach him otherwise. Abhira sheds tears and says that she may not know much about good fathers, but they certainly wouldn’t be like him. She questions his decision to make Krish become a lawyer without even considering what his interests are or what his hobbies may be.

He claims I have complete knowledge. She retorts, alright, list his 5 acquaintances, at least one friend. It’s okay, reveal his favorite dish and color. I am aware of these things, too, despite being an outsider. You are his father, yet you lack understanding. Who are you to determine his career? Dadi interrupts sharply, “Enough! You shall not speak or instruct us. I know what brings them joy.” Armaan questions why your own two children aren’t content then. Charu bursts into tears. He comforts and leads her away, saying, “Just observe them – crying in front of their family and trembling with fear. They aren’t happy; we are forcing Charu’s happiness onto Krish.”

As their parents, you have a right to make decisions, but you can also make mistakes. Sanjay says we know what is best for them. Armaan says you cannot find happiness in forced decisions, and as their parent, you can make mistakes. Sanjay asks if you mean Maasa is making a mistake. Dadi is told to let go of traditions and hug her children. Vidya scolds him. Armaan says no.

Armaan insists that they should let Krish do as he pleases. Sanjay then accuses Armaan of being threatened by Krish’s potential to surpass him, therefore trying to push him out. Armaan quickly clarified that he would be proud if his younger brother had achieved more success than him. Sanjay continues, pointing out that Rohit’s return is uncertain and Aryan is still young, leaving only Krish to compete with Abhira’s influence. He adds that Armaan disagrees with their family traditions. Madhav interjects, stating that Sanjay is mistaken. Sanjay retorts that Madhav will always support his son. Manoj chimes in, expressing his support for Armaan and highlighting his love for his siblings. Sanjay confidently predicts another loss for them all, but Dadi finally loses her patience and shuts them down.

Precap:

There will be big people coming today to celebrate Makar Sankranti with us. Abhira leaves the house. Ruhi stops her. Abhira says she will finish her studies. Armaan says he promised your mother to take care of you. She says she has a plan. Will you support it?
