Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 13th August 2024 Written Update begins with Dadi preparing for guests when Ruhi approaches her to discuss Rohit. Dadi sternly tells Ruhi to focus on her own wedding instead. Ruhi, however, reveals that Armaan and Abhira are eloping and plan to marry that very day. Dadi is shocked and scolds Ruhi for saying such things, but Ruhi insists she’s only trying to protect the family from heartbreak. She hands Dadi the keys to Armaan and Abhira’s new house and leaves.

Meanwhile, Armaan prepares to leave. Vidya questions him, but he refuses to explain. Abhira watches silently. Just then, Dadi walks in and reveals to everyone that Armaan and Abhira are getting married today without family consent. The entire family is stunned.

Dadi accuses Armaan of planning a wedding and buying a house without informing her. When Armaan tries to explain, she lashes out at Abhira, calling her manipulative and unworthy. Armaan defends Abhira fiercely, asking Dadi to stop blaming her for everything. Emotions flare as he recounts Abhira’s constant efforts to gain family acceptance and how she’s been repeatedly insulted. He recalls Abhira’s mother’s words about society’s judgment and says he’s tired of seeing her live with false hopes. For peace of mind and for Rohit’s future, he announces he’s leaving the house.

Abhira, Vidya, and Ruhi break down in tears. Manish silently supports Armaan’s decision, believing the couple will finally find peace away from the family’s interference. Dadi refuses to bless Armaan, who walks away tearfully. Vidya clings to him, pleading with him to stay, but Armaan insists that there’s nothing more to discuss.

Before leaving, he hugs Manoj, Manisha, and the rest. He tells Rohit that even though their bond is broken, he’s still passing on their father’s blessings and wishes him happiness with Ruhi. Abhira watches, heartbroken.

Outside, Abhira tries to reason with Armaan. She shows him her mehendi and says the house and family mean everything. Armaan replies by showing her his hand with her name written in it, saying she is his everything now. He hands her a red chunri and says that if she wears it and meets him at the temple, they will begin a new life together as husband and wife.

Abhira envisions a joyful wedding celebration surrounded by the entire family, dancing to “Teri Hui.” But reality brings her back, and she is left crying over the emotional turmoil.

Armaan frantically searches for Abhira on their wedding day. When he confronts Dadi, she admits to orchestrating Abhira’s disappearance. Armaan, stunned, tells her it was supposed to be his wedding day. Dadi defiantly replies, “I won’t let it happen.”
