Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 16th September 2024 Written Episode begins with the family celebrating Abhira and Armaan’s mehendi as everyone dances joyfully to Aai Shubh Ghadi. Manish fondly recalls memories of Kartik–Naira and Abhimanyu–Akshara as he makes Abhira sit on the swing.
Ruhi, unable to bear the happy moment, secretly checks Abhira’s medical reports and is left shocked. She decides that Dadi and Armaan must know the truth. She takes Armaan aside under the pretext of something important. Abhira notices them leaving and grows uneasy.
As Armaan waits for Ruhi to speak, a vendor arrives selling toys. Armaan buys baby boy dolls, smiling at the thought of their future. Meanwhile, Vidya looks for the reports at home but can’t find them. Charu notices Ruhi and Armaan together but when she tries calling, Armaan’s phone is with Aryan.
Ruhi finally reveals the truth — Abhira can never conceive. Armaan is shattered and refuses to believe it. She shows him the report, and though devastated, he calls the doctor for confirmation. The doctor explains that Abhira cannot conceive, and even if she tries, her life could be in danger. Heartbroken, Armaan drops the toys, realising their biggest dream has broken.
At home, Manisha grows worried about Abhira’s absence, but Krish and the others make excuses. Meanwhile, Ruhi manipulates Armaan, reminding him of all his sacrifices and asking him to think about his own dreams. She warns that if the truth comes out, Dadi and Sanjay will surely blame Abhira.
Just then, Abhira arrives and questions why Armaan left their mehendi with Ruhi. She demands to see the papers Ruhi is hiding. Ruhi pushes her, but Armaan catches Abhira in time. Abhira insists she knows Ruhi has the papers, but Armaan stops her, saying he will tell her the truth when the time is right. Abhira, trusting him, agrees and says she can wait a lifetime for him. They share an emotional hug, though she unknowingly breaks one of the toys.
Back at home, Dadi continues to question about the reports. Armaan and Abhira return, with Abhira lying that she had gone to rest. Dadi directly asks Armaan about the missing report.
Precap: Ruhi reveals to the family that Abhira can never conceive. Dadi and Sanjay speak against Abhira, while Manish takes a stand and asks Abhira to come with him.
