Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th October 2024 Written Episode begins with Armaan telling Abhira about his confrontation with the man whose wife had died during childbirth. Abhira gently explains that the man’s decision must have been painful and asks Armaan not to get angry, saying that even the baby would cry if he shouted. The man leaves, and Armaan softly tells Abhira that she would have been a perfect mother. She hugs him and replies that he would have been the best father.

Just then, Armaan receives a call from Krish, informing him that Dadi’s discharge formalities need to be completed. Armaan tells Abhira the good news that Dadi is fine now and asks her if she is hiding something because she looks disturbed. Abhira quickly says no and insists she’s just relieved that Dadi’s health has improved. She urges him to go to the hospital.

Manish arrives and reassures Abhira that Dadi is recovering well. Later, Madhav brings Dadi home, where everyone gathers around to welcome her. Vidya offers to give Dadi her medicines, but Dadi stops her. Madhav then asks Manisha to help, but Dadi refuses again. When Kajal comes forward, Dadi takes the medicines from her hand. Seeing this, Sanjay smiles with satisfaction. Vidya and Manisha walk away feeling insulted, and Manisha angrily tells Vidya that Dadi only values Kajal now. She blames Abhira for all the injustice happening in the family.

Meanwhile, Abhira sits alone, looking through preschool brochures. She begins talking softly to her unborn baby, imagining the child playing around her. Her eyes fill with tears as she dreams about the life she could have with her baby. Armaan walks in and overhears her talking to herself. Concerned, he asks why she’s suddenly discussing babies and what’s going on. Abhira quickly hides her emotions and says it’s nothing, explaining that she was just looking at some school brochures.

Armaan gets upset and says Rohit and Ruhi should be thinking about such things, not her. Abhira says she was only trying to bring happiness back into their lives, but Armaan cuts her off, saying that not everything can be fixed so easily. He tells her he can change the world for her, but he cannot bear to see her sad every day. Hurt and confused, Abhira apologises silently as he walks away.

At the dining table, Sanjay praises Kajal for taking care of Dadi. Kajal smiles and says every daughter does her duty. Sanjay replies that not every daughter is neglected like her and encourages her to make Dadi understand the importance of fixing Charu’s marriage soon. Kajal hesitates, saying Dadi is still weak, but Sanjay insists, warning her that if they wait too long, Dadi might hand over the power and property to others.

Later that night, Abhira hugs Armaan while he rests. He lovingly says he doesn’t need anyone as long as she’s by his side. He asks if she’s hiding something from him, but Abhira denies it and pretends to sleep.

The next morning, Armaan wakes up and notices Abhira missing from the room. He finds her in the washroom, vomiting. Alarmed, he immediately calls the doctor, but Abhira stops him, saying she must have eaten something wrong. Armaan insists she looks weak, but she assures him she’s fine and says she’s going to the temple to complete a mannat and bring back prasad.

At the temple, Abhira prays silently for her baby’s safety. She returns home with the prasad and sees Vidya and Manisha serving kheer to Ruhi. Ruhi says she will eat it later, but Vidya insists she can have more whenever she wants.

In another corner, Kajal speaks to Dadi about Charu’s marriage proposal. Dadi says she understands it’s difficult to move on from love but asks Charu if she’s ready for this new relationship. Charu nods, and Dadi promises to meet the prospective groom soon.

Abhira enters and offers prasad to Dadi. Just then, Ruhi’s phone rings, startling her. She accidentally drops the kheer bowl and calls for a servant to clean it. Vidya and Manisha take her to the kitchen, leaving the fallen kheer on the floor. Abhira looks at the spilled kheer and softly says she wants Dadi’s blessings for her baby too. She picks up the bowl and eats a little of the leftover kheer.

Meanwhile, Vidya and Manisha share lighthearted stories from their own pregnancies, laughing and teasing each other. Ruhi smiles and says pregnancy isn’t easy but is full of beautiful memories. As they turn around, they are shocked to see Abhira eating the leftover kheer. Vidya angrily snatches the bowl from her hand and scolds her for being greedy, leaving Abhira embarrassed and heartbroken.
