Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 20th September 2024 Written Episode begins with Sanjay saying Abhira might not come to the mandap, reminding her to keep dreams within limits. Armaan confidently declares that Abhira will come because his heart knows she will not take much time. He calls out to his chorus singers, saying it is his marriage day, and they all rush to help him.
Meanwhile, Manish shares his heartfelt feelings, telling Abhira that he has seen all his children leave and it was never easy for him and Swarna. He recalls how Swarna once hid the truth of Shubham, fearing Kartik would feel deprived of love. He admits it was painful when he found out, yet they stayed together because love held them strong. He explains that Armaan’s love is genuine and urges Abhira not to reject it, calling it a blessing. Abhira breaks down in tears. Manish adds that Armaan is fighting everyone, but she is the one afraid, and now it is her turn to be brave. He asks her if she has the courage to accept this love, reminding her that if she does not, she will regret it forever. He says that even if a child never comes into their lives, her love alone would be enough for Armaan.
Abhira later goes to the temple, where Vidya calls her and makes her wear bangles. Abhira says they are hurting her, as they do not fit. Vidya replies that she also feels hurt because Abhira never considered Armaan’s happiness. She accuses Abhira of choosing her own happiness and says she will never fit into their family. Vidya questions what Abhira will do when Armaan feels incomplete without a child, warning that the marriage will turn into punishment for both of them. She tells Abhira that if she truly loves Armaan, she should not marry him.
Elsewhere, Armaan smiles, saying he is the luckiest groom because he has Abhira’s love. Aryan admits he is tense, but Rohit assures him that the elders will come, as everyone knows no one can separate Armaan and Abhira. Ruhi overhears and notices Armaan’s ring.
Manish later gives Abhira a bridal dress, telling her he promised Armaan he would bring it for her. Abhira says she still does not know whether she will marry or not. Manish explains it is a precious gift he found, which belonged to her mother, and that even her mother wanted her to hold Armaan’s hand. He reminds her that her mother united her with Armaan and urges her not to give up on love. He leaves, and Abhira is left deep in thought.
Swarna, on a video call with Ruhi, tells her that Manish gave Akshara’s lehenga to Abhira. Ruhi disconnects the call and confidently says the marriage will happen. Abhira continues thinking of Armaan.
As the wedding day progresses, both Armaan and Abhira get ready. Shehnai plays in the background. Ruhi recalls that the same lehenga was given to her mother and interprets it as a sign that the universe supports her desire. She gets ready as a bride herself. Armaan tells himself that he has one heart, and he has given it entirely to Abhira. He pleads silently for her not to break it. Abhira replies that she is coming.
Manish and Swarna argue about Ruhi, but Manish tells her to leave him alone today and check whether Abhira is ready. Surekha comes in and confirms that Abhira is prepared. Manisha, Aryan, and Krish are surprised to see Sanjay also dressed for the occasion. Krish thanks him and expresses love, while Manisha jokes. Ruhi excitedly tells Armaan that his bride is ready.
Abhira descends the stairs, and Manish grows emotional on seeing her, remembering Akshara. The song Hamari Banno plays. Armaan also comes down. Manish performs a ritual to ward off the evil eye from Abhira. Surekha applies kajal for the same purpose. Manish hugs Abhira and tells her how beautiful she looks, saying he is truly happy. Abhira thanks him warmly.
Madhav asks Vidya to perform the ritual. Overwhelmed with emotion, Vidya cries. Kajal and Manisha encourage her to step forward. Just then, Armaan stops Madhav, walks up with a bowl of curd, and offers it to Vidya. In anger, Vidya throws the bowl, but Dadi catches it before it falls.
Precap: Abhira arrives at the mandap and asks where Armaan is. Armaan questions Ruhi about why she called him there. Sanjay tells Abhira that Armaan will not come, but she insists that he will.
