Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 22nd July 2024 Written Episode begins with Armaan pleading with Rohit, saying he never intended to break his heart and that his actions were for everyone’s happiness. Rohit, however, refuses to believe him, stating that Ruhi was unhappy, he himself was in pain, and Armaan’s actions pushed him away from his family. He declares that Armaan is not part of their family.
As everyone watches in shock, Armaan reaches for Abhira’s hand, and she breaks into tears. Rohit, filled with emotions, recalls how they once shared everything—parental love, blessings, happiness, and sorrow. However, he believes Armaan is undeserving of any of it. He says he had hoped for a fresh start, but Armaan’s betrayal left him weak and helpless. He then calls Armaan a “stepbrother” and agrees with Dadi’s words.
Madhav intervenes, but Rohit points out that his own father is scolding him for Armaan’s sake and that his wife no longer loves him because of Armaan. He believes an elder brother should be a guiding figure, but instead, he sees Armaan as a selfish and deceitful person. Enraged, Madhav raises his hand to slap Rohit, but Dadi stops him, warning him never to touch her grandson or face her wrath.
Rohit declares his decision to leave for good, but Dadi stops him, asserting that this is his home. She instructs the children to take Rohit inside while Armaan and others leave. Just then, Abhira arrives and tries to stop Dadi from shutting the door. She pleads to talk to Rohit, but Dadi questions her intentions, accusing her of being greedy for comfort. Abhira denies this, saying she has Armaan’s love and will not let him suffer. She warns Dadi that she will regret her decisions if the family breaks apart.
Meanwhile, Armaan is heartbroken and reflects on Rohit’s words. Abhira consoles him, assuring him that Rohit is only angry and does not truly hate him. She reminds Armaan that even when he hurt her, she never truly hated him, but was just upset. She advises him to give Rohit some time to heal.
Dadi, determined to keep Rohit from leaving, discusses the situation with Kajal. Kajal suggests that bringing Ruhi back might give Rohit a reason to stay, but Madhav and Vidya oppose the idea, fearing it will only worsen the situation and further damage Armaan and Abhira’s relationship.
At the same time, Ruhi prepares to leave for Shivani’s house, expressing her desire to distance herself. She informs Ruhi that she has come to take her home, leaving everyone shocked.
Meanwhile, Rohit prepares to leave, feeling he has no choice. However, Abhira stops him, reminding him of how much pain his absence has caused everyone. She recalls the anguish they felt upon learning of his accident and urges him to reconsider. Rohit remains adamant, insisting that the family will eventually learn to move on without him. He tells Abhira that he bears no ill will toward her but refuses to forgive betrayal. He apologizes but insists he cannot stay.
As he moves towards the gate, Abhira warns him that the storm about to hit will be his responsibility. Just then, the family arrives and looks on.
