The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on 22nd October 2024 begins with Armaan angrily confronting Abhira. He tells her to prove that she truly trusts him. When she tries to calm him and offers food, he picks up a bottle of chilli sauce and drinks it in frustration. Abhira panics and asks him to stop. As tears roll down his face from the spice, she runs to get water, but he refuses to take it. Armaan says coldly, “I don’t want to know anything. Keep your secrets to yourself,” and storms off.

Vidya arrives and begins scolding Abhira harshly. She accuses her of breaking the family and being just like her mother. Abhira, unable to bear the insult, defends herself. She tells Vidya not to drag her mother into the argument and says, “Don’t you dare say anything about Armaan either. You claim to be his mother, then prove it—go and console him instead of blaming me. My love for Armaan doesn’t change with my mood or convenience.” Vidya is left speechless and walks away in anger.

Meanwhile, Charu and Neeraj have a late-night video call. They chat sweetly about their engagement and future plans. Kiara and Aryan enter and start teasing Charu about her conversation. When Charu asks them to stop, they divert the topic by joking about Sanjay’s temper. Soon, the siblings start arguing. Abhira overhears their raised voices and intervenes. She reminds them that family unity is more important than petty fights. She makes Aryan and Kiara hug Charu, saying, “No more fights. Promise me you’ll all sleep peacefully tonight.” They smile and agree.

After they leave, Abhira anxiously asks where Armaan is. Kiara silently gestures that he hasn’t returned and walks away. Worried, Abhira calls him repeatedly, but he doesn’t answer. Following the sound of his ringtone, she finds him sleeping in the car outside. She knocks on the window and pleads with him to come inside. He turns his face away, still angry. Determined, Abhira decides she can’t delay anymore.

She shouts, “Fine! I’ll tell you the truth.” Armaan turns up the music to drown her voice. In tears, Abhira cries out, “I’m pregnant, Armaan! I’m going to be a mumma… and you’re going to be a papa! Please listen to me!” Her voice trembles, but he doesn’t react. She breaks down beside the car, exhausted.

Later, she walks to Dadi’s room, holding back tears. Dadi wakes up and is surprised to see her. She gently asks, “Abhira, what happened? Why do you look so worried?” Abhira sits by her and finally confides the truth — “I’m pregnant, Dadi.” Dadi is stunned and sits up in shock. She asks softly, “Really?” Abhira nods, saying, “Yes. I didn’t tell Armaan because there are complications. This baby is our dream, Dadi… but I’m scared. He’s already upset with me. What if he gets angry after hearing this? Please help me.”

Before Dadi can reply, Ruhi enters the room and questions Abhira, “What are you doing here?” Abhira says she was just talking to Dadi, but Ruhi accuses her of lying again. Abhira says she was only checking on Dadi and apologises before leaving. When she stumbles slightly, Ruhi instinctively holds her and asks, “Are you okay? You didn’t fast today, right? Did something happen?” Abhira replies softly, “Are you actually worried for your sister?” Ruhi snaps, saying, “No. I’m worried about Dadi. She’s on strong medication, and you’re disturbing her sleep.” Abhira quietly says sorry and leaves the room.

Ruhi looks at Dadi, who’s fallen back asleep. She carefully covers her with a blanket before stepping out. Meanwhile, Abhira walks away thinking about Armaan. She says to herself, “I’ll plan our special date tomorrow. I’ll tell him everything properly. I promised him I’d never hide anything again.”

At the Goenka house, Swarna tells Manish that Abhira seems to be hiding something serious. Manish agrees, saying he noticed the change in her behaviour. Surekha adds that Abhira has become silent because of Ruhi’s constant interference. Swarna worries that family hatred might destroy Abhira’s peace. Manish firmly says, “I won’t let that happen. Abhira won’t fight alone.”

Back at the Poddar mansion, Armaan wakes up early in the morning and gets out of the car. He finds Abhira asleep on a chair outside, still wearing her Karwa Chauth saree. He looks at her tired face and feels a wave of guilt. As he gently lifts her in his arms, she murmurs in her sleep, “Armaan… I want to tell you the truth…” Armaan looks at her, confused and emotional.
