Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 8th October 2024 Written Episode Update begins with Manish bowing down in front of Sanjay. Shocked, Abhira and Ruhi stop him. Sanjay smirks and says he has already forgiven Manish, so there is no need to bow down. Abhira asks Manish to get up, reminding him that self-respect is everything. She says he never gave them away to anyone and assures him that both she and Ruhi will support him. Ruhi too questions if he is willing to sacrifice his dignity. Manish insists he just wants happiness for the family, but Abhira and Ruhi hold his hand and walk him away.
Dadi asks Sanjay what happened to Manish. Sanjay pretends innocence, saying maybe Manish realized his mistake. He adds that he has planned a big surprise for both families that will shock everyone. Abhira grows suspicious and asks Krish if he knows something. Krish apologizes in his mind, feeling helpless.
Meanwhile, Armaan brings a mangalsutra and makes Abhira wear it. He admits he was distancing himself earlier to avoid hurting her in anger. He pleads with her to vent her frustration on him but not go away. He confesses his love. Abhira, emotional, stops him and says they can join the puja together. They see lights and curtains being drawn and join hands in prayer. Armaan sings a bhajan while Vidya watches with tears, and Manish folds his hands in prayer.
During the celebrations, “Nagada Sang Dhol” plays and everyone dances joyfully. Abhira performs Ruhi’s aarti, applies a black tika on her, and plays Sindoor Khela by smearing Kumkum on her face. The family claps as Ruhi hugs Abhira. Manish blesses them happily. Suddenly, a curtain drops, revealing a picture of Akshara and Aarohi. Everyone looks on in shock. Swarna and Surekha cry, identifying Abhira as Akshara’s daughter. Abhira smiles with joy, finally realizing her roots.
Sanjay steps forward dramatically and announces that Abhira and Ruhi are sisters. He says he discovered the truth and chose this auspicious day to unite them. Manish looks worried, but Abhira runs to him and says, “You are my Parnanu.” She hugs him tightly, saying she always wished for a family like this and now feels truly lucky. She then embraces Swarna and Surekha, who cry with her.
However, Ruhi recalls Aarohi’s death and grows furious. Abhira lovingly tells her that their constant fights make sense now because they are real sisters. Ruhi pushes her away and shouts that she is not her sister but the daughter of her mother’s murderer. The family is stunned. Both Abhira and Ruhi cry. Ruhi storms off, followed by Rohit. Armaan tries to stop Abhira from running after her. Manish stands helpless, deeply worried about the fallout.
Precap: Armaan tells Abhira that he trusts her and believes her mother was not a murderer. Vidya insists she will decide who stays in the family home. Dadi opposes her, declaring that it is her family and she will decide. Vidya takes Ruhi and Rohit with her.
