Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 8th September 2024 Written Episode Update begins with Ruhi and Abhira dancing together. Manish watches them and recalls memories of Akshara and Abhira. Aryan comments that they look like sisters while dancing. Abhira compliments Ruhi for doing the Pahadi steps well. Ruhi replies that her Maasi is from Kasauli, surprising Abhira, who says she never mentioned it before. Ruhi quickly walks away. Rohit praises Ruhi for her performance.

Manish then joins Abhira in the dance. Ruhi interrupts and pulls him aside. Meanwhile, Armaan takes Abhira away and tells her the function was successful. He gets romantic, calling her his own, while she playfully jokes with him. At the same time, Ruhi questions Manish about attending the function. He explains that it is a Poddar family event and Abhira is soon becoming part of the family, so she should get used to her presence. Ruhi becomes emotional, accusing him of caring only about his duty toward Abhira. She pleads with him not to attend the wedding and asks him to go home.

Armaan tries to kiss Abhira, but she steps back. He follows her, but she sees Manish and goes to him. Vidya instructs Krish and Aryan to remove the decorative cloth covering a photograph. Just then, Manish passes by but does not notice the picture. Abhira senses something wrong and asks him directly if he is fine. Manish denies any problem, but Abhira insists she feels something bad is about to happen. Armaan tells her not to put pressure on Manish, as it may be difficult for him to see them together. He reminds her that Manish already blessed them and asks if she trusts him. Abhira nods, and he reassures her that everything will be fine.

Armaan and Abhira then dance with everyone. Manish recalls Ruhi’s words and quietly leaves. He later returns and finally sees the photograph of Akshara and Abhinav. He is shocked and breaks down, realising the truth. With tears in his eyes, he says Abhira is Akshu’s daughter, his own blood. He recalls the bond he always felt with her and realises his instincts were right. He feels joyous that he has found his granddaughter. Manish recalls Abhira’s past words and imagines the reunion. Overwhelmed, he says he must meet Akshu and bring her home. But suddenly, his health deteriorates. Feeling weak, he stumbles and leaves the place. Abhira turns around, sensing something is wrong.
