Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 9th December 2025 begins with Abhir hugging Armaan and admitting that the fight happened because of someone else. Armaan firmly tells Abhir not to force Kaira into marriage and insists that he must clearly make her understand this. When Abhira questions Armaan’s harsh tone and asks whether Abhir means nothing to him now, Armaan replies coldly that after what Abhir did today he means nothing to him. Abhira defends Abhir and reminds Armaan that he is talking about his own brother and should maintain respect.

Armaan admits that the thought of what Abhir did with Kaira makes him furious. Abhira explains that while it is natural for him to be protective of Kaira, blaming only Abhir is unfair because both were equally involved. Armaan argues that girls are emotionally vulnerable, but Abhira refuses to let him insult their love. Armaan states that Abhir only loves himself and that if he truly loved Kaira, he would never have walked away earlier. Abhira insists that the situation was different back then. Frustrated, Armaan questions why they are even arguing and tells Abhira to make Abhir stay away from Kaira.

Meanwhile, Manoj becomes deeply worried about Kaira and begins drinking out of stress. Madhav tries to calm him and asks him not to weaken himself since the family is there to support him. At the same time, Kaveri pressures Manish to make Kaira understand that she must marry because an unmarried woman cannot become a mother in her view. She adds that the child cannot carry the Poddar family name and says Kaira is heading toward destruction. Manisha declares that she will get Kaira married at any cost.

Abhira brings Abhir his guitar to comfort him, but he says he does not need the guitar and only needs Kaira. Abhira explains that Kaira does not want to live with him anymore. Heartbroken, Abhir hugs Abhira and begs her to help him, saying he cannot live without Kaira and that he has changed. Abhira tries to help him understand the difference between love and attachment. Kaira then calls Abhira and Armaan to speak to the tenants waiting outside. Armaan directly asks Kaira whether she loves Abhir. Kaira honestly says she does love him and that he supported her throughout her rehabilitation without judging her. He stood by her when she needed him the most. When Abhira asks what the real issue is, Kaira admits that she no longer trusts Abhir. She fears he might leave her again. For her mental peace and the sake of her baby, she believes she must walk this path alone without him.

Later, Armaan feels emotionally drained and tells Abhira that he wants to take Kaira to Delhi where fewer people know her. Abhira refuses to go with him and says she no longer trusts him. Armaan is shocked. Abhira reminds him that he once accepted a harsh truth, and now reality has surfaced again. When Armaan accuses her of making a bad joke, Abhira explains that she was trying to make him understand that Kaira is confused and still loves Abhir. Armaan insists that Kaira does not love him and is firm about staying away. He says he has no energy left for this discussion. Armaan also reminds her that they had promised not to let family problems affect their relationship, but Abhira replies that the family is already broken.

Krish strongly opposes this forced decision and Kajal supports him, although she harshly adds that if a man is ready to accept another man’s child there must be some flaw in him. Kaveri says she wants Kaira to marry Abhir, but Manish refuses because Kaira does not trust him.

Tanya continues to push Kaira to leave because the environment around her is toxic. Kaira feels guilty about hurting her family, but Tanya insists this is the right path. Later, Abhira and Armaan cross paths and accidentally bump into each other. Overwhelmed by emotion, they hug tightly, unable to express their pain in words.
