He tells Anupama that she will face tough situations often in life, but she should not give up. He is right that life will throw her into tough situations repeatedly, but she will not fail; it is difficult for her to leave her husband and daughter in this position, but it is even more difficult to back off, so she will go to America regardless of the cost. Hearing their conversation, Anuj smiles.
After saying that she made the right decision, Vanraj walks away. Gurumaa eagerly awaits Anupama as Nakul informs her that Maaya passed away in a road accident. Gurumaa prays for the peace of Maaya’s soul. Nakul informs him that the Kapadias have scheduled a condolence meeting today for Maaya. Gurumaa says they will attend, but she won’t let Anupama miss the USA tour.
It panics Anuj when Choti Anu doesn’t open her room door and informs Anupama. All of them rush to Choti Anu’s room. Anuj and Vanraj break open the door and find Choti Anu sleeping with Maaya’s photos and whispering maa in sleep. Then Anupama becomes emotional, lies beside her, and says mummy’s with her babli. Choti Anu hugs her and apologizes for getting angry with her for hurting her, etc. Anupama cries.
Choti Anu wakes up and inquires about Maaya maa’s whereabouts. She calls for her and requests Anuj to bring her to apologize. Anuj attempts to calm her down, but she becomes agitated. Gurumaa and Nakul attend the condolence meet and inquire about the family’s location. A guest informs them that they are in Choti Anu’s room, trying to console her. Gurumaa suggests they go there, while Nakul wonders if it is appropriate. Choti Anu continues to call for Maaya, while Anuj reminds her that she has passed away. She then turns to hug Anupama and questions if she will also leave her. Gurumaa takes notice of this, as Nakul expresses their doubts about attending the meet.
Family walks down after consoling Choti Anu. Anupama notices Gurumaa. Gurumaa says they heard about Maaya and came to meet them. Gurumaa reminds Anupama that she needs to leave for USA after a day and asks if she can do so. Despite any hardship, Anupama says she won’t back down. Vanraj assures Gurumaa that Anupama will arrive at the airport on time. She remembers Choti Anu’s plea for her mother.
Anuj says Choti Anu will calm down in a few days. Gurumaa asks Anupama if whatever Vanraj said would happen or not. Anupama says she will meet her in the airport. Back at gurukul, Nakul informs Gurumaa that he booked USA tickets. Gurumaa says she has a mental connection with Anupama and knows her current state of mind. In the event that Anupama does not fulfill her promise, Gurumaa states she has seen her Natraj avatar, and will see the Raudra/angry avatar.
The Shahs attempt to offer food to Choti Anu, but she refuses and insists on meeting with Maaya. Anupama experiences remorse as she believes Maaya’s death was her fault, and she worries about how Choti Anu will react when she finds out. Anuj reassures her that they are the only ones who know the truth and urges her not to blame herself; instead, she should concentrate on her goal and move past it. However, Anupama questions why it would be an issue if others were aware of what happened. In response, Anuj promises to never mention it again and assures her that he will handle Choti Anu while encouraging her to continue pursuing her dream of going to the USA. Unbeknownst to them, Barkha overhears their conversation from a hidden location.

As a result of Maaya’s accident and Choti Anu’s reaction, Anupama gets a nightmare. Barkha asks Anuj why Anupama feels guilty as if Maaya died because of her. Anuj says he doesn’t want Choti Anu to learn about it and form a negative impression of Anupama. When Choti Anu hears that, she falls down and Anuj rushes to her.
