Bigg Boss 20 Contestants: Full List of 16 Stars
Bigg Boss is back for its 20th season, and Salman Khan has welcomed 16 contestants from television, cinema, sport, music, gaming and social media into the house. The milestone season premiered on Sunday, 6 September 2026, with a line-up that brings together established names and younger digital personalities. Among the most recognisable entrants are boxing champion Mary Kom, television actress Mahhi Vij, Panchayat actor Aasif Khan, Bhojpuri star Amrapali Dubey, singer Qazi Ahmad Tauqeer and gaming personality Tanmay Singh, better known as ScoutOP.
The Bigg Boss 20 contestants represent one of the show’s broadest mixes yet, reflecting how much India’s entertainment landscape has evolved. Alongside traditional television faces are esports creators, rappers, regional film stars and social media influencers, giving the season a more varied mix of personalities and fan bases. The show airs daily on Colors TV at 9.30 pm and streams on JioHotstar from 9 pm.
Bigg Boss 20 Contestants: Who Has Entered the House?
This year’s cast appears carefully balanced between familiar celebrities and personalities who appeal to younger, digitally active audiences. While names such as Mary Kom and Mahhi Vij bring instant recognition, contestants like ScoutOP, Arishfa Khan and Yung DSA connect the programme with gaming, social media and contemporary music culture.
Mary Kom
Mary Kom is one of the most high-profile Bigg Boss 20 contestants and brings a level of sporting achievement rarely seen on the reality show. The six-time world champion boxer became the first Indian woman boxer to win gold at the Asian Games in 2014 and the Commonwealth Games in 2018, while her bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics remains one of the defining moments of her career.
Her honours include the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan. Her entry is particularly interesting because she comes from elite sport rather than the television or influencer ecosystem that usually dominates the Bigg Boss house, which could make her approach to conflict, alliances and competition quite different from many of the other contestants.
Mahhi Vij
Mahhi Vij enters the house as one of the season’s best-known television faces. She is remembered most widely for playing Nakusha in Laagi Tujhse Lagan and has also appeared in Balika Vadhu. Over the years, she has built experience not only as an actress but also as a reality television participant, having appeared in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi. She also won Nach Baliye 5 alongside Jay Bhanushali.
That previous reality-show experience may prove valuable in a format where personality often matters as much as performance. Mahhi already understands the pressures of unscripted television, but Bigg Boss presents a very different challenge, with contestants living together under constant observation and navigating changing relationships over a much longer period.
Aasif Khan
Aasif Khan arrives with a strong following from films and streaming shows. The actor gained wider recognition through popular series including Mirzapur, Paatal Lok and Panchayat, where his portrayal of Ganesh, often remembered as “Damad Ji”, made him especially popular with audiences. Before establishing himself on screen, Aasif spent several years working in theatre and later moved to Mumbai in 2016.
His inclusion gives the season another contestant with credibility among OTT viewers, a group that has become increasingly important to Indian entertainment. Unlike contestants known primarily for reality television, Aasif enters the house with an image shaped largely by acting roles, which could make his real-life personality one of the season’s more closely watched elements.
Amrapali Dubey
Bhojpuri cinema star Amrapali Dubey adds another strong regional entertainment presence to the Bigg Boss 20 line-up. She began her career in Hindi television, appearing in shows such as Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar, Maayka and Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, before moving into Bhojpuri films. Her breakthrough in that industry came with Nirahua Hindustani in 2014 opposite Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua.
Her established fan base could give her an early advantage, particularly among regional audiences. At the same time, Bigg Boss often tests contestants outside the comfort zones of their professional careers, making her transition from film sets to an unscripted environment one of the season’s more interesting storylines.
Kanika Mann
Kanika Mann is another familiar face for television viewers. She gained popularity through her role as Guddan in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega and later appeared in projects including Roohaniyat and Chand Sifarish. She also competed in Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, giving her previous experience of high-pressure reality television.
That background could work in her favour. Bigg Boss is less physically demanding than an adventure reality show, but it requires a different kind of resilience, particularly when contestants are confined together and relationships can shift quickly.
Isha Rikhi
Punjabi actress and model Isha Rikhi brings experience from both modelling and cinema. She made her acting debut with Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De in 2013 and went on to appear in films including Happy Go Lucky, What the Jatt!!, Ardaas and Mindo Taseeldarni. She later entered Bollywood with Nawabzaade in 2018.
Isha’s presence also drew attention during the premiere, with Salman Khan becoming more candid during their interaction. Her personal story and screen presence are likely to make her one of the contestants viewers watch closely during the early weeks.
Qazi Ahmad Tauqeer
Qazi Ahmad Tauqeer’s arrival brings a strong sense of reality television nostalgia. He became a national name after winning Fame Gurukul in 2005 alongside Ruprekha Banerjee, competing in the same season that also featured Arijit Singh. After the show, Qazi explored both music and acting.
For audiences who followed Indian reality television in the mid-2000s, his return to the genre is particularly notable. More than two decades after his first major breakthrough, Bigg Boss 20 gives viewers a chance to see how his personality and public image have evolved.
Tanmay Singh, aka ScoutOP
Tanmay Singh, widely known as ScoutOP, represents India’s gaming and esports community. He built his reputation through PUBG Mobile and BGMI and has been associated with teams including Team IND, Team SouL, Fnatic and Orange Rock. His strong digital following makes him one of the season’s most prominent contestants from outside traditional film and television.
One of the premiere’s most talked-about moments came when Salman Khan appeared surprised after hearing about ScoutOP’s reported monthly earnings from esports. The exchange underlined the growing influence of India’s gaming industry and highlighted just how different some of this season’s contestants are from the celebrities who typically entered Bigg Boss in earlier years.
Rhiti Tiwari
Rhiti Tiwari enters Bigg Boss with a direct family connection to the franchise. The singer, songwriter, composer and producer is the daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, who previously participated in Bigg Boss 4. Rhiti has released several original songs and has been building her identity as an independent music artist.
Her entry adds another generational layer to the season, with a former contestant’s daughter now stepping into the same reality-show environment. That link to the show’s history is likely to attract interest from long-time viewers.
Arishfa Khan
Arishfa Khan is one of the youngest contestants this season and represents the social-media-driven generation of Indian entertainment. She began acting as a child and appeared in television shows including Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera and Papa By Chance before developing a large online following and appearing in music videos.
Her experience is very different from that of contestants who became famous through films or television alone. She enters the house with an audience accustomed to following her digitally, which may become important as viewers form early loyalties.
Love Gill
Punjabi actress and model Love Gill, whose real name is Lovepreet Kaur Gill, has worked across music videos, television and cinema. She gained attention after appearing in Karan Aujla’s 2019 music video Facts, later making her television debut and moving into Punjabi films.
Her entry was decided before the season fully began, when she was placed against Rhiya Ahir in an audience-driven selection. Love ultimately secured the place in the Bigg Boss house, making her one of the first contestants to experience the season’s voting mechanisms before even settling into the main competition.
Harsh Machare, aka Yung DSA
Pune-based rapper Harsh Vijay Machare, better known as Yung DSA, brings the desi hip-hop scene into Bigg Boss 20. His music mixes street culture and Marathi influences with contemporary trap sounds and traditional elements, and his breakthrough came with YEDA YUNG, released through Divine’s Gully Gang Records.
His presence continues a broader shift in Bigg Boss casting towards artists and creators from newer entertainment spaces rather than relying solely on television actors and film personalities.
Rohed Khan
Austrian actor and model Rohed Khan has been developing his career in Indian cinema and has appeared in films including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Tejas and Sarzameen.
As one of the less familiar contestants to mainstream television audiences, Rohed enters the season with an opportunity to build a stronger public identity through the show, something Bigg Boss has historically provided to several contestants.
Aman Gandhi
Television actor Aman Gandhi began his career with D4: Get Up and Dance and later appeared in shows including Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Sasural Simar Ka and Kundali Bhagya. He also played an antagonist in Naagin 3 and was most recently seen in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.
His television background gives him a familiar connection with the audience that traditionally follows the Hindi edition of Bigg Boss, while the format now gives viewers a chance to see his personality away from scripted roles.
Uditi Singh
Actress and model Uditi Singh has worked across fashion and entertainment and appeared in the Netflix film Jaane Jaan, where she played the younger version of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character. She has also appeared in Jassi Weds Jassi and worked with fashion, lifestyle and jewellery brands.
Her inclusion adds another relatively fresh face to the cast and reinforces the season’s attempt to combine familiar celebrities with personalities who may become more widely known through the show itself.
Kushal Tanwar, aka Gullu
Kushal Tanwar, popularly known as Gullu, completes the 16-member line-up. He enters Bigg Boss with previous reality-show experience, which could help him adjust more quickly to the format’s unpredictable nature. His inclusion alongside actors, athletes, musicians and digital creators further highlights how wide the casting net has become this season.
What Is Different About Bigg Boss 20?
Bigg Boss 20 is not relying only on its cast to generate interest. The season also introduces a format built around the idea that contestants will receive two opportunities to survive in the house, adding another layer to nominations and eliminations. One report describes the concept as “Tathas-Two”, with the central idea being that housemates effectively get two chances.
There has also been a significant change behind the scenes. After Omung Kumar designed the Bigg Boss house for 19 seasons, Varsha Jain has taken over the responsibility for Season 20. The new house includes a mysterious “Room 20”, although its precise purpose had not been revealed when the premiere coverage was published. The room is expected to become part of the season’s twists and secret tasks, adding another element of uncertainty for the contestants.
Love Gill Wins the Audience Decision
One of the first major developments took place before the full competition had even found its rhythm. Love Gill and Rhiya Ahir were placed against each other as part of an audience-based selection, with viewers deciding who would enter the house. Love secured the spot, while Rhiya was eliminated from contention through the “Fans ka faisla” mechanism.
The decision finalised the 16-member cast and also signalled that audience participation would play an important role from the very beginning of the season.
Bigg Boss 20 Brings Together Sport, TV and Digital Stars
The Bigg Boss 20 contestants offer a clear snapshot of how Indian celebrity culture has changed over the past two decades. Television actors still form an important part of the line-up, but they now share space with gamers, influencers, rappers, regional cinema stars and elite sportspersons. That diversity gives the show access to several different audience groups rather than depending on traditional television fame alone.
The Hindi edition is also part of a much larger franchise that has expanded into Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali versions. Even with that growth, the Salman Khan-hosted Hindi show remains one of the longest-running and most recognisable editions.
With Mary Kom bringing sporting stature, Mahhi Vij and Kanika Mann representing mainstream television, Aasif Khan appealing to streaming audiences and ScoutOP bringing India’s esports community into the mix, Season 20 begins with a cast that reflects both old and new forms of celebrity. The early question is no longer simply who enters with the biggest fan following, but who can adapt best once the doors close and the alliances, nominations, arguments and unexpected twists begin to reshape the game.
