The festival starts in the village. Durga meets with her principal, and she tells her that she got an invite for a function tomorrow. They have sent a letter to her house, so she must come there. I hope you get admission to a medical school. I know Vikram will approve everything Durga says.
Aarti accidentally drops flowers on Durga when she enters the mandir with other ladies. Her mother said she might have wanted this to happen. They all do pooja together. Durga prays for her education and thinks she only wants to marry Anurag. When Anurag sees Durga’s name in the tree area, he smiles.
During pooja, Bai meets Vikram. He asks why she isn’t doing pooja with the family. Bai says she can’t. Vikram says you should stop thinking like that; she is part of the family.
Savitri inquires if Vikram had discussed Bai’s conversation with Aarti. She mentions that Vikram does not usually share anything with her but wonders if they spoke about Durga’s potential marriage. Savitri expresses that Durga is still young and desires to pursue her studies, so they should not pressure her into marriage. She clarifies that Anurag and Durga are just friends. Aarti acknowledges this and adds that if Bai has made a decision, no one can oppose it. She hopes that Durga will be allowed to become a doctor and live a life different from hers. Aarti also mentions that she wishes for her rights as Vikram’s wife, as he often makes decisions without involving her. Savitri reassures Aarti that she will eventually receive her rights. Aarti then questions if Savitri herself ever gained her rights. Savitri quietly contemplates this question.
Bai advises Vikram that Durga’s behaviour is becoming uncontrollable, and they should consider arranging her marriage soon. However, Vikram expresses concern about facing criticism if he forces the marriage. Bai suggests an alternative plan – letting Durga continue her studies while married. Vikram agrees and mentions an upcoming event where he can publicly support Durga. Bai reminds him that by arranging a marriage for Durga, he would gain praise, and his daughter would also be educated. She urges him to act quickly before their stubborn son makes a rash decision.
Durga dances with her family at the function. Rajesh meets with Bai and Vikram at the festival. Vikram says, “I have something important to talk about.” Durga looks around for Anurag and wonders where he is. She buys a friendship band. He says, “I know it’s for a special friend, so it’s fine.” He smiles and leaves. Anubhav asks if she’s buying it for him.
Rajesh asks who the girl is. Vikram says Durga, Rajesh is shocked to hear that but then smirks. Bai tells him to trust us as we have found a girl for you.
