Yashwant angrily questions how Chinmay could beat Ishaan, and Chinmay clarifies that he is more concerned about his nephew than his son. Surekha then urges him to talk to her instead.
Chinmay pleads to end Surekha’s theatrics, reminding her of his letter on their wedding anniversary. However, Surekha insists that he come home. Chinmay firmly states that he will only return if Yashwant transfers the land in his name. Unfortunately, Yashwant rejects this request. Chinmay then emphasizes that his grandfather officially transferred the land to him, and Yashwant is simply a temporary caretaker. He warns that he will do whatever it takes to sell off the land.
Yashwant firmly declares that he will not allow Chinmay to carry out his plans and demands that he leave Pune immediately. In contrast, Surekha pleads for Yashwant to reconsider and let Chinmay return home. However, Yashwant sternly warns her to keep quiet and tells Chinmay that he would instead donate the land than allow him to sell it. Undeterred, Chinmay challenges Yashwant by declaring that he will stay in Pune and ruin his reputation until he gives in to his demands. Frustrated, Yashwant hangs up the phone. Surekha tearfully states that Chinmay is their only child. Still, Yashwant reminds her that they are now suffering the consequences of raising a rebellious son and will continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Overwhelmed, Surekha breaks down in tears.
In the evening, Savi takes down the gudi padwa embellishments. Meanwhile, Shikha sneaks into the house, concealing her face with a shawl. There is a loud crash as a vase hits the floor. Mistaking it for a cat, Savi grabs hold of Shikha and demands that she reveal her face quietly. As Shikha shows her face, Savi is taken aback and questions why she had to sneak into the house and where she had gone when she was seen at a hotel yesterday.
Ishaan expresses his shock to Reeva about Chinmay’s behaviour towards him while he was in Pune. Savi invites Shikha to share her thoughts, and she reveals that she had met with Chinmay, who mentioned wanting a divorce. She clarifies that she went to persuade him against it, stating how Chinmay never valued any relationship. However, as a daughter-in-law and wife, fulfilling her duties has always been her identity.
Reeva advises Ishaan to bring Surekha along on his next visit to Chinmay, as seeing his mother may help soften him. Curious, Shikha inquires of Savi what she would do if she were in her shoes. Savi remembers Harini’s words about Ishaan’s dedication to duty since their marriage and his genuine concern for her wellbeing. She then suggests that Shikha not worry about her and instead asks what she desires.
Shikha is unsure about the issue between Yashwant and Chinmay. However, Chinmay has set a deadline for her to sign divorce papers by tomorrow morning. Shikha is against this decision and does not know how to handle the situation. Savi suggests bringing Chinmay home to discuss his problem. Despite this, Shikha knows he will refuse to come. Savi is confident that she can find a way to convince him to come home.
