During the interview, Ishan joins Isha and Shantanu. Sheela welcomes him. Ishan thanked her for inviting him. Sheela says his own college student, Savi Chavan, is celebrating his parents’ achievements. She asks Savi if she would like to say something about Ishan, sir. She stands blank, recalling being tongue-lashed by Ishan. Sheela asks if she can hear her. Savi says yes.
Shan asks Sheela why a student is needed in this interview of 2 professors and their achievements. He means they should talk about the conference and how it would benefit their students. Sheela agrees and stops Savi’s interview. Savi fumes at Ishan. Harini asks if she’s okay. Savi says yes and walks into the TV room.
Sheela intends to ask Ishan what he wants to say about his parents’ achievements. Ishan says that he is proud of his Baba’s accomplishments. Sheela then asks if he is not proud of his mother’s achievements. Surekha and Savi eagerly await Ishan’s reply. As he nervously declares he is proud of his mother, Dr Isha Bhosale, Surekha stands in shock. Savi rejoices and says Ishan has finally called Isha, his mother. She plays drums, and Ninad joins her.
Sheela mentions that all children are proud of their parents’ achievements, and the whole country is proud of Ishan’s parents. She then invites Isha and Shantanu to share about their project. Isha credits her son, Ishan Bhosale, for this achievement. Sheela remarks on the emotional moment of a mother dedicating her success to her son before asking all three of them to take a picture together. They oblige, and Sheela requests Isha to stand between her husband and son while the photographer directs Ishan to place his hand on his mother’s shoulder. This sight causes Isha to become emotional, leading Surekha to shatter a water glass with her hand in shock before collapsing.
In Ishan’s cabin, Reeva finds Surekha unconscious on the floor. Ishan calls for help. Shukla rushes in and brings the professor. Reeva thinks Surekha has a heart attack and performs CPR on her. Surekha opens her eyes and says she feels pain. Reeva gets Surekha into the car and drives to the hospital. Shantanu tells Ishan that he feels good seeing him here and hugs him. Ishan says it’s okay. Isha holds Ishan’s hand.
As Nishi and Yashwant call Ishan at the hospital, he doesn’t answer. Isha tells Ishan that he didn’t push it away despite holding his hand for a long time. She thanks him for that. The staff returns Ishan’s phone. Ishan notices Yashwant’s call, learns about Surekha’s heart attack, and rushes to the hospital. He requests to meet Surekha. The doctor denies it but agrees on Yashwant’s request.
As Ishan enters Surekha’s ICU room, he holds her hand and cries. Surekha opens her eyes and asks if he has come. Ishan says he came here as soon as he heard about her condition. Surekha says he is late as she had been waiting for him in his cabin to have lunch with him, so why did he go to his real mother? Ishan said he had gone to meet Baba and attend his interview.
A few days ago, Surekha told the media that she was more than his mother, but today, he was sitting in front of the media with his real mother, taking pictures with her, and even telling the media that he is proud of her without thinking about his foster mother’s feelings. Surekha’s condition deteriorates. Ishan calls the doctor. The doctor rushes in and sends Ishan away. Ishan assures Yashwant that Surekha will not suffer any harm. Surekha’s condition is blamed on Ishan.
