As Panditji ties a Mauli/holi thread around Ishaan’s feet, Savi repeats to him that she will respect all the rituals and customs and fulfil all her responsibilities. She walks away from there. Surekha cries. Reeva comforts her and asks why she is crying. Savi says she won’t give any heir to this family or stay here much longer. She is here just until Tai gets out of the coma.
Surekha had earned great respect in her society over the years, but Savi managed to ruin it within seconds. She constantly insults Surekha and doesn’t know how to handle her. Durva reminds Surekha that everything happens for a reason, and Savi has promised to leave once her sister is well. They have found a way to get rid of Savi from their house. Surekha prays for Savi’s sister’s speedy recovery and hopes for Savi’s swift departure from their home. As Yashwant enters, he asks for an explanation of what she means.
Ishaan walks to Savi and asks what that is. Savi says he tried to shut her mouth and even Panditji’s mouth but couldn’t. Ishaan asks why she always insults his family and why she is so mean to them. Ishaan asks him if he thinks telling lies will bring prosperity to his family. Ishaan says she could have kept quiet. Why did she say she is here only until Tai is well? Durva informs him that Yashwant is calling.
Surekha is scolded by Yashwant, who says that he stopped Savi from going to college, but Surekha herself caused trouble for them. Ishaan walks in. Ishaan scolds him for ruining the family’s dignity because of him; he says it takes years to build a reputation, and he won’t let Ishaan ruin it.
