Ishaan requests Savi to allow Reeva to assist her in getting ready. In the meantime, he will entertain the guests downstairs. However, Savi insists she can manage independently and doesn’t want to inconvenience Reeva. Reeva responds that Ishaan may have trouble if they don’t go down on time. With that, Ishaan excuses himself from the conversation and goes downstairs. Shortly after, Durva’s friends arrive at the reception and question why they are spending so much on someone as uncultured as Savi, especially since they haven’t entirely accepted her as Ishaan’s wife yet. Durva agrees with their point of view. Meanwhile, Ishaan welcomes a minister and his wife while Surekha’s childhood friend converses with them. Later on, Ishaan knocks on Surekha’s room door, pleading for her to open it.
Reeva rudely attempts to assist Savi, who immediately asks her to stop. Reeva argues that Savi was OK with Ishaan’s help but not hers. Savi insists that Ishaan’s help is genuine, while Reeva forces herself to help. Reeva mentions that Savi has caused trouble for others, like Surekha, who are not attending the function because of her. She suggests that Savi consider how a son would feel when his mother doesn’t attend his event. Savi then approaches Surekha in her room and pleads for her to listen. However, Surekha becomes even more angry and accuses Savi of wanting to embarrass her further.
The minister inquires about Ishaan’s family, and Yashwant responds that his daughter-in-law is preparing. When the minister asks about Surekha, Yashwant assures that she will join them soon and asks Nishi to take care of their guest. Ishaan pulls Yashwant aside and reveals that Surekha does not want to attend the function for personal reasons. This news angers Yashwant, who insists on having Surekha participate at all costs. Ishaan decides to speak with Reeva in hopes of convincing Surekha. Meanwhile, Ishaan’s friends also ask about his wife’s whereabouts, and he informs them that she is still getting ready. Just then, Reeva enters the room, followed by Bhosale. Their friends extend their congratulations and present gifts to Reeva as the two feel embarrassed by the attention.
To handle the awkward situation, Shikha introduces and welcomes Ishaan’s wife, Savi. Professor Paranjpe acknowledges that it is unusual, as Ishaan is married to Savi, not Reeva. As guests take gifts from Reeva and give them to Savi, Reeva starts to feel more embarrassed. A friend of Nishi, Lokhande (known for his rude behaviour at the cafe), arrives with his family. Nishi greets him warmly. Lokhande and his wife notice Savi on stage with Ishaan and wonder why a cafe waitress is with him. Meanwhile, the Minister and his wife repeatedly ask Yashwant about Surekha’s whereabouts.
Yashwant introduces his guests to his new daughter-in-law, Savi, and invites them to welcome the new couple with their applause. However, Surekha seems upset by this news. Despite Yashwant’s attempt to continue his speech and ask Ishaan and Savi to cut a cake, Ishaan expresses that he does not feel like celebrating without Surekha. Yashwant acknowledges that it is his mistake for constantly troubling Surekha and insists on avoiding drama at the celebration, suggesting they cut the cake in silence. However, Savi takes the microphone and declares that she would not have cut the cake without Surekha’s presence.
