He assumes she is upset with him, but she denies it.

Ranbir then recalls a famous song and uses it to describe how lifeless his world has become since she rejected his proposal. His emotional words reflect how deeply hurt he still is. He questions if their meeting was just a coincidence. Meghla responds that she doesn’t know. Meanwhile, Adrija decides she must act before things go too far. She interrupts and tells Meghla that Guru ji is singing, prompting Meghla to leave.

Ranbir and Adrija are left alone. Adrija pretends to have a headache and convinces Ranbir to accompany her to the canteen. While there, she tells him a fabricated story.
