Adi asks Badi Amma what is going on. Adi and Giriraj talk to Badi Amma. Kavya taunts Giriraj. She says that one day, the truth will come out, and you will be punished. Adi says a criminal does not need to provide proof. You have a habit of buying the law, and we know you’re not innocent. Adi says Kavya won’t do anything for Giriraj. No, Kavya, I’ll do it. I will prove myself as a bahu and an IAS officer, and I will prove it to you.
Adi insists it is unnecessary and admits that she believes it is necessary. I refuse to let anyone accuse you. Adi then departs, and Omi arrives, greeting Badi Amma. She scolds him for being unproductive and compares him to a barren tree branch. Her words and exit hurt Omi and Alka. Anurag comments on Dadi’s tactics as she makes Kavya dance, predicting that she will quit her IAS career soon enough. Giriraj suggests that a woman can conquer another with both love and conflict. Finally, Badi Amma requests Kavya to take a mat and lay it out on the floor for her to sleep on.
Badi Amma jokes. Adi asks what. He says you’ll make your bahu do this. She asks if you’ll teach me now. He says stop it. She says trust me, I won’t do anything wrong. She also thinks I’ll sleep here, so don’t get upset. For my sake, Kavya says don’t argue with her. Adi says it’s wrong. She says it’s a challenge, but I never lose. She sends him to his room. He also makes his bed on the floor and lies down.
Kavya and Badi Amma sleep but are interrupted by a call. Kavya discovers that Adi is also sleeping on the floor and asks why. He explains that he doesn’t want to wake Badi Amma by talking on the phone. Adi invites Kavya to join him, but she worries about getting caught by Badi Amma and being banished forever. Adi suggests it wouldn’t be so bad since they would have each other and Santu. Kavya laughs and pokes fun at Badi Amma, who suddenly interrupts their conversation with a loud snore. Kavya tries to silence her but eventually falls asleep herself. Later, Badi Amma wakes up and tells them to bathe in cold water at 4 am. Despite hesitating, Kavya follows her advice and shivers from the cold after her bath.
In her instructions, Badi Amma asks Kavya to do Surya puja. Kavya performs it. Badi Amma says we’ll do the Gayatri mantra jaap now, and you won’t know, so read after me. Kavya chants it. Malini gets the coffee. Badi Amma dislikes it and throws it. She cleans her hands with Kavya’s saree. Kavya says it’s mine. Badi Amma says fine, take it. Alka thinks I won’t go to the doctor, but Omi says we will go without telling Badi Amma. Kavya calls Omi brave because she thinks we’ll go.
Adi invites Omi to join him, to which Badi Amma immediately interjects and demands that he get straight to the point. Adi then extends the invitation to Omi and Alka, explaining that he wants to take them to a doctor specializing in helping couples conceive. Badi Amma expresses her desire to play with the child as long as it is born naturally and not through IVF. She scolds Adi for even considering such an option, causing Alka to tear up. Adi reassures Kavya that everything is ready and they can trust him. He then leads Alka and Omi out of the house through the back gate.
Kavya informs Badi Amma that she needs to leave for work, but Badi Amma disapproves, citing it as bad luck. Despite her objections, Kavya leaves and is soon joined by Santu. She asks him for help with a task, to which he agrees and demonstrates how to do it. However, he receives a scolding from Badi Amma and hastily leaves. Badi Amma then assigns Kavya the job of grinding wheat and locks her in while she sits outside on a chair. As Kavya grinds the flour, she receives a call from a man who claims to have evidence regarding Navya’s case. He invites her to meet him within half an hour at his bus stop in the village. Accepting the offer, Kavya looks over to see Badi Amma watching her intently.
