Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai 28th February 2024 Written Episode Update

The elders rise, suggesting that the Bride’s face be covered during the rituals. Shetal quickly consents, and Nandini points out that Vinet won’t be able to see who he’s marrying. The elder insists that the tradition must be followed and it shouldn’t be joked about. Nandini argues that the bride is not a commodity to be seen after marriage, to which Vinet nods in agreement. The elder acknowledges his agreement as well.

Nandini questions the rationale behind only the groom showing his face, not the bride. Naren recalls Nandini’s previous confrontation with him over dowry demands. The elder advocates blindly following tradition without considering its origins, questioning the intelligence of their ancestors who created it. However, Nandini believes such traditions were relevant in the past but are no longer necessary. She asks for forgiveness from the elder, treating her as a daughter. Ishwar and Manri expressed concern about the situation.

Nandini claims that King Ram Mohan Raoi successfully ended this tradition. Without his intervention, the elders would not even have the opportunity to stand before them. However, Nandini explains that the wedding cannot take place if the tradition is not followed. Many wonder why Nandini continues to speak up, especially since she previously caused Visakha’s wedding to be ruined. Vinet’s father tries to calm the elder down, but she insists that someone needs to inform Nandini that it is inappropriate for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding. Nandini argues that they have already been seeing each other for two years, which led to their upcoming marriage. She adds that if the elder insists on having Visakha wear a veil, it should be considered her preference rather than a tradition.

She says that the elder was also a bride who would have suffered from it all since she could not walk and felt suffocated. As the father of Vinet says, when two thoughts collide, they should forget about traditions and only think about what is right; he asks Meena to lift Visakha’s veil, so she lifts Visakha’s veil. As a result, the elder becomes angry and leaves the wedding. Nandini also follows the father of Vinet.

The angry elder sits and declares that she forgives the children’s mistakes. On the other hand, Nandini points out that her uncle and aunt did not raise her to be disrespectful. However, she admits that when she witnesses something amiss, she cannot help but question it. She clarifies that she is not challenging their customs and traditions but rather any practices no longer suitable for modern times. She also hopes they will refrain from enforcing these outdated practices. Additionally, Nandini reminds the elder of how Visakha felt when her veil was lifted, suggesting that as someone who has experienced this herself, the elder would know how suffocating it can be. Nandini does not want her future daughter-in-law to go through the same pain.

Nandini explains to the elder that she cannot bless her best friend if she is not seated in front of her. The elder questions Nandini about her absence from the wedding and not being able to see her face due to a large veil. Nandini suggests using technology to show her face in photos, which excites the elder. She then asks if they can go and watch Vinet’s rituals, to which the elder agrees. Naren is left staring at Nandini as she leaves.

Vinet and Visakha once again perform the rituals that everyone enjoys. Nandini and Naren throw petals on them as they perform the circles and Ishwar and Manri smile. Naren says Nandini looks very beautiful, which makes Nandini nervous.

As Vinet and Visakha prepare to leave, they realize the groom’s shoes are missing. Naren claims ownership of the shoes, prompting Nandini to mention their tendency to ask for money. To this, Naren responds that she can take his life, but Nandini retorts that she would do so for free. The girls continue to request money until Vinet interrupts and offers Nandini a large sum of cash. However, she only takes one note, causing Shetal to question her intentions. In response, Nandini explains that this is just a ritual and they shouldn’t let it become a burden. While attempting to put down the shoes, Naren stops Nandini, who takes them from her hand. Manri signals Ishwar about their exchange, as Nandini asks if they can leave.

Visakha embraces Shetal as she cries, then turns to her father before leaving. Vinet approaches Naren for a blessing, but Naren stops him, saying he is not that old. However, Vinet insists that they need the blessings of their elders, and Naren ultimately blesses them both for their future together. Suddenly, Vinet’s father starts shouting about how his timely intervention could have prevented the situation. Hitesh asks about Ashok, explaining that Visakha and Vinet wanted blessings from the Mandir, but their driver refused at the last minute. Naren assures them that he will personally take them to the Mandir when Visakha asks if Manri and Ishwar would mind if they also took Nandini along. After receiving permission from both, Nandini opens the front passenger door before getting in. Ashok reminds Vinet to ask for money if needed, Meena reminds him to take care of Visakha, and Ishwar reminds Nandini not to forget the Prasad (blessed food offering). The whole family waves goodbye as Visakha and Vinet depart.

Nandini inquires Naren about what will happen after the completion of Visakha and Vinet’s pooja. Naren reassures her they will be summoned, so she does not need to worry. In response, Nandini expresses gratitude for this moment, to which Naren acknowledges her and her progressive thinking, commending her for setting a strong example. Nandini mentions that she does not intentionally seek these opportunities but cannot remain silent about the double standards in their society. She questions why no one speaks out against them. Naren counters by saying that those who raise questions should also have answers. She replies that she always has an answer when he inquires about her marriage plans, as she believes she can answer any question.

Hemraj explains they cannot force Sujan to wait for so long since he has already sent him the invitation. Chanchal asks why he didn’t tell her, and he responds he is now telling her, so she should call Naren, as who knows what kind of work is left in Upleta.

The more he learns about his family members’ decisions, the more shocked he is and asks if it is like this, mentioning he’ll immediately contact his father. After receiving a call from his mother, he says his relationship with her is similar to a mobile network. In response to her question about whether the daughter-in-law would serve her, Naren tells her she would live for a hundred years. When she asks why it takes him so long, Naren replies he even has a surprise.

Chanchal mentions she even wants to tell him, but he should first tell her. Naren replies that the surprise is not given but given. He signals Nandini to come and talk with his mother, but she refuses and turns back nervously. Upon his return, Naren says he will surprise her, and she should prepare her surprise so they can see who has the best surprise. He says he will get in touch tonight.

According to Naren, this is his mother, Chanchal Ratansi. Nandini felt happy seeing their love and wondered if he referred to his father as “Bapu jee” in modern times. However, Naren explains that the significance of calling him “Bapu jee” cannot be compared to the terms “pops” or “daddy”. Nandini agrees but notes that those words may not be meant for him. As they get married, their families and fates also intertwine. She reminds him that after marriage, his parents will also become her parents and asks him to speak with his mother about talking to his father.

Nandini inquires if Naren has ever asked his mother to intervene in his relationship with his father. She wonders if the dynamics change when his father initiates spending time with him. Naren reflects on his childhood memories of being physically disciplined by his strict father while his mother always stood up for him. He recalls instances where he was locked in the store for disobeying his father’s commands. His father would even threaten to kick his mother out of the house if she opened the door for him, leaving Naren terrified and pleading for them to let him in.

Since his mother could not open the door, she would always sit outside crying in the store room; his mother could see him even when the mouse came on him, but his father would prevent her from opening the door. While his father slept, she kept crying, and he would have nightmares, but his mother would always calm him down, saying he shouldn’t refuse his father. Naren is asked what happened and why he started crying, and Nandini asks if he is okay.

Precap:

Then Naren asks Ishwar why Nandini gets angry when someone mentions dowry. Ishwar informs him that her mother committed suicide because of dowry, but Naren assures him that her mother’s sacrifice will not be forgotten. In a letter to the family, Hemraj informs them that Naren’s proposal has been fixed, but Naren assures Nandini that no dowry will be required for the marriage.
