Nandini asks Naren why he gets scared when he hears the name of his father, Naren replies he respects his father a lot, Nandini asks then why he hesitates to speak with his father. Naren replies that he doesn’t have a habit of it and their relationship in society has been going on for so many decades, so ever since from his childhood, whatever he wants to say is passed on to his mother, making communication easier.
While Nandini asks him to tell her about his family because she would like to meet them through his eyes, Naren mentions he still works with his father, but they don’t choose many words in their relationship. Despite Naren’s large family, Nandini suggests they sit down there first, explaining that they should begin with his mother, which is where the whole life begins, so they both leave.
Nandini inquires about Naren’s mother, and he introduces her as Chanchal Hemraj Ratansi. He remarks that every child holds their mother dear, but his mother’s heart is truly beautiful. She not only knows how to keep the house looking lovely, but also herself. When Samta brings tea for Chanchal, she mentions it being Tuesday and knowing what dish to prepare. Chanchal adds that she will add her own flair to the lentils. Naren points out that his mother gets ready twice a day, to which Samta comments on her beauty and asks if she doesn’t get tired. Chanchal responds by stating the importance of women in the house always being presentable as it reflects on the overall appearance of the home. She then asks Samta to ensure her dress is properly kept.
As Samta reaches for the tray, she notices Hemraj and compliments him before leaving. Chanchal remarks that he was delayed, but Hemraj explains that he had to carefully select the best jewelry designs for her, as she is not an ordinary person. As he unveils the set, Chanchal becomes anxious. With his own hands, Hemraj adorns her with the jewelry and she gushes over its beauty. However, Hemraj reminds her that there is one more step – just like they keep their valuables safe, they must also protect their beauty by covering it. He places a saree over Chanchal’s head to shield her from any negativity. Finally, he asks if she is happy and when she agrees, he too smiles contently.
As Nandini asks Naren if Hemraj is the eldest, Naren replies that Baa is the eldest and her name is Anousya, but she is his father’s stepmother and is the person he loves the most. For him, Anousya Baa means everything. Because Naren is a step son, he carries a lot of burdens, but no decision is made without Anousya baa’s approval.
Anousya Baa is sitting when the glass drops, prompting her to scold the culprit and remind them that they will have to compensate for any damage. Later on, while Samta is walking, she accidentally breaks a newly purchased set after bumping into Kunu. Once again, Anousya Baa expresses frustration and calls out Samta’s poor behavior to Hetal. She also brings up Kunu’s tendency to ruin things without facing any consequences. Wanting to speak with Hetal directly, Anousya asks where she is. Samta interjects and points out that Hetal is present before stating that Baa should verify before making assumptions. She concludes by stating that if she receives two compliments, she would undertake a pilgrimage.
While constructing the house out of mud, Nandini receives a warning from Naren about the potential for it to be washed away by the tides. She reassures him that their determination and positive thoughts will prevent any destruction. As an example, Naren mentions his aunts Hetal and Samta, who are both treated as daughters by their biological mother Anousya, but see her husband as their own father. However, when Samta enters the kitchen, she expresses feelings of disrespect towards herself due to Anousya mistakenly referring to her as “Hamta” and saying negative things about her. Naren reminds everyone that while Hetal’s husband is Dhawal and Samta’s is Virel Kaka, they both regard Anousya’s husband as their own father and would not even allow him to pick up their shoes if either of them objected.
His son enters the cabin just as he is working on the shoes, which causes him to question if he could not knock before entering and what he did instead. Hemraj doesn’t leave any chances to prove he’s a step son, so Dhawal takes out the shoes, and his son says he just keeps accepting orders, and Dhawal replies that he owns all Ratansi family properties and businesses.
According to Naren’s son, despite being younger, Naren still holds considerable control over the business. His son clarifies that both Dhawal and Virel are true brothers, whereas Hemraj is his stepbrother. However, Dhawal advises him to remain vigilant. Naren adds that Virel is the youngest of them all and has a strong preference for sleep, which he values even more than the gods themselves. As it happens, Virel is napping when Samta rushes into the room, urging him to wake up as Hemraj has arrived. Unfortunately, Hemraj enters before Virel can change his clothes. He mentions that he came home for lunch at one o’clock but it’s already five and yet Virel is still asleep.
Hemraj inquires about the status of the four o’clock meeting, to which Virel responds that he doesn’t know since he fell asleep. Hemraj asserts that he never gets tired before eating or asking for money, while Samta becomes emotional and begins to cry. However, Hemraj reminds her that it is her responsibility to wake him up if he falls asleep after lunch. He then mentions that his salary will be docked this month, causing him to finally realize the true nature of working. Nandini expresses her admiration for Hemraj’s loving family. Naren reminisces about a time when Hetal wanted to leave and cut ties with Dhawal, but his father assured them that he would protect their family and advised them not to reveal anything in front of others.
Hetal said that she returned for Hemraj alone, but had no plans to form a relationship with Dhawal. Naren says that he just got lost in the memories of his family, Vinet calls Naren to ask where they are both, Naren replies they’re just coming, so Nandini asks Naren if they should leave, and she says that their conversation was interrupted, but Naren says they’ll get it done in Upleta. Naren praises Narri’s cooking, especially her mashed dish, but Manri says she’ll pack it for him.
Manri requests Ishwar to inform Naren that the difference between them cannot be discerned. She also inquires if Vinet and Visakha managed to complete the ritual without any trouble. Nandini informs her that they will soon depart for Rajkot. As Naren’s life has undergone major changes, he plans to leave tonight and share everything with them. Before leaving with Manri and Mitesh, Ishwar agrees. However, Nandini kindly asks Naren not to leave tonight due to the late hour and difficult journey. She humbly requests him to at least consider her small request.
