Kumkum Bhagya 20th September 2024 Written Update begins with Monisha walking in and asking what’s going on. Neha questions her identity, pointing out she’s not a family member but just Deepika Bhabhi’s sister who frequently visits. She says Monisha works with RV and should stick to office matters. Neha then instructs Poorvi to manage the wedding catering alongside the chef, claiming it’ll be flawless.
RV interjects, asking Neha why she’s creating a scene and how she entered. Neha replies that a kitchen staff member let her in. When Poorvi clarifies that the man is their chef, Mohan, Neha mocks him, calling him a servant and declaring herself the new “Choti Malkin” of the house. Poorvi counters, stating that respect must be earned and their staff are referred to as helpers, not servants—they are part of the family.
Neha coldly responds that they are paid for their services and therefore are servants. She warns against double standards and says she’s acting out of concern for RV’s reputation, not to be lectured by Poorvi. She announces that the sangeet must happen today as only nine days remain before the wedding, and she will be away for the next seven days to bring her parents. She assigns responsibilities, instructs Poorvi to handle catering for all events, and tells RV he can return to work.
Vaishali notes Neha’s eagerness to marry. Neha insists it’s time for everyone to fulfil their duties and says she’ll manage the sangeet decorations herself. Monisha pulls her aside.
Harleen vents to RV, calling Neha dangerous and lacking any values or respect for elders. She suspects Neha didn’t grow up with guidance and is acting out recklessly. Harleen is worried that Neha’s arbitrary declaration of sangeet today is just one example of her manipulative behavior.
Monisha questions Neha about her plan to leave for seven days. Neha tells her off for her tone and reminds her that without her, nothing would function smoothly. She reveals her intention behind rushing the sangeet—to move a step closer to marriage.
Harleen accuses Poorvi of being responsible for the situation, stating that if she hadn’t offered marriage to Neha, none of this would be happening. Harman and Vikrant return from their jog and are stunned by the decorations. Harleen tells them that Neha brought a decorator and declared today as the sangeet because of Poorvi’s past decision.
Though Harman consoles Poorvi, she accepts the blame and decides to prepare for the sangeet. Harman then comforts Harleen, who feels defeated and regrets her fate. He encourages her not to lose hope, while Vikrant is stunned at how Neha is blackmailing the family using legal threats. Yug, who dislikes Neha from the start, becomes excited when he sees Diya, prompting curiosity from Vikrant.
Harleen reflects on the recent chaos: RV’s rushed marriage to Poorvi to save himself from arrest, the current forced marriage to Neha, and the general unhappiness in the house. Harman advises her to trust God and let things unfold. She asks for some alone time.
Later, Harman tells RV that Harleen is very worried. RV feels powerless and expresses his desire to remove Neha from their lives. Monisha enters and says she, too, wants to scold Poorvi like Harleen did, though she can’t bring herself to do it. RV defends Poorvi, saying it’s not her fault, but Monisha insists it is—highlighting that Poorvi made the marriage promise to Neha without consulting anyone.
After Monisha exits, Deepika catches her smirking. Monisha admits she’s turning everyone against Poorvi and building the narrative subtly. She then calls Neha, who promises a dramatic entry.
