Kumkum Bhagya 4th January 2024: Khushi’s Emotional Confession and Poorvi’s Job Interview

The episode kicks off with Khushi urging Poorvi to be honest and questioning her about her feelings for RV. Diya also emphasizes the importance of telling the truth and warns her against lying by saying that it will anger God. Khushi then asks for permission to talk to Poorvi, who agrees. Diya expresses her belief that she already knew the answer. Poorvi clarifies that while she does like RV, it is not in the way everyone assumes, and she hasn’t looked at him through that lens. Khushi reassures her understanding of the situation, and Poorvi reaffirms that she is being truthful. Khushi affectionately compliments her and embraces her, promising to bring milk for her. She then teasingly comments on how Poorvi is from a different era but admits that it works in her favor as she has always wanted a sister like her. She then enlists Diya’s company and leaves to get some milk while Diya notices R on Poorvi’s hand, triggering memories of Susheela’s words for Poorvi.

As RV emerges from the bathroom, Beeji immediately beckons him over. “Take a look at yourself,” she says. Harman chimes in, translating her words into English for RV’s benefit. Dadi then reminds RV that he is of an appropriate age to get married. Yug jumps in, reminding them all that he has already informed Dadi about RV’s involvement with Poorvi and how they are both still single. He adds that he also mentioned how they first met and their obvious chemistry. Beeji then reveals her approval of the girl. Dada ji asks if they can consider the marriage as finalized. Harman excitedly mentions wedding festivities, while RV acknowledges that it has always been Beeji’s wish to see him married, regardless of who the girl may be.

Beeji insists that Poorvi is not just any girl, and RV confesses that he has a soft spot for her. He explains how he often finds himself stumbling upon her in times of need, unsure of how he got there. Dada ji chimes in, saying it must be fate at work. RV disagrees, calling it a mere coincidence. Beeji clarifies that they all have a fondness for Poorvi, but Dada ji wonders why they didn’t see the signs of destiny sooner. Harman then asks for their help in understanding this situation. RV expresses his reluctance to marry anyone, as his main focus is on his business.

Khushi approaches Prachi with gratitude, acknowledging their familial bond. She expresses her difficulty in discussing her deepest emotions with her, to which Prachi laments it as a loss. Khushi then thanks Prachi for caring for Poorvi and reminds her of the strong love she holds for her sister, second only to their late father. Despite any potential discomfort it may cause, Khushi asserts that this is simply the truth. In response, Prachi assures her appreciation and delight at Khushi’s unwavering love for Poorvi, noting that not all siblings share such a special bond. Khushi adds that they are not like their aunt Rhea, emphasizing just how much she and Poorvi mean to each other by declaring that she would go to great lengths to protect her beloved sister.

Prachi asks her not to say this, and she says you are my jaan. Khushi recalls Prachi standing up for her when Beena raised her hand. Prachi says she raised her hand to me. Prachi says she will fight the world for her daughters, telling Khushi how much she loves her. You are my first child, so nobody loves you like I do. She says how much you love Poorvi, but I love you more. She hugs her and says I can’t make you understand.

Vishaka gets upset seeing them hugging. Manpreet comes there to ask what happened. Prachi says she feels the same happiness as she did when Khushi was small. She says Khushi used to love me a lot when she was a child. He says Khushi loves you, but don’t show it. She asks her to be happy and not cry.

Vishaka explains her inability to fold the saree but is interrupted by Khushi who offers her milk. Vishaka notices Khushi’s affectionate relationship with her mother and makes it clear that she does not share the same feelings towards her. Khushi then reveals that she heard about Vishaka’s support for Poorvi against Ashutosh’s marriage and expresses admiration for her actions. In response, Vishaka admits to loving Poorvi as well, but not as much as Khushi. Khushi also expresses her love for Poorvi and praises her mother for standing up for her. She then offers Vishaka some milk before leaving. Reflecting on their conversation, Vishaka acknowledges how caring Khushi is towards her whenever she visits.

Vishaka brings milk for Poorvi and inquires about her emotional state. Khushi reassures her that she doesn’t cry and intends to leave. However, Diya invites her to stay. Khushi expresses her concern that Diya sees her as a rival, but Diya assures her that she is not envious of them. She acknowledges Khushi’s love for Poorvi and asks if she will make her cry. They continue to bicker over sleeping arrangements until Poorvi interjects with laughter. Khushi is relieved to have her old friend back and reminds Poorvi about the upcoming teacher’s interview the next day. She suggests they stick to their usual sleeping positions, with Khushi sleeping on the left. Finally, Poorvi kindly asks Diya to move somewhere else for the night.

When RV hears the past happenings, he shouts. Yug wakes up and asks if he had the same dream, and he tells Yug to call his mother. RV says he suddenly remembers some work is due. Yug asks if you’re fine. RV says I have to go see Ajmera’s project and says all day was spent on Poorvi’s problem. Yug asks if you’re okay. RV says I need some fresh air, so he goes outside. Bijli keeps the aarti and then prepares tea for Manpreet.

Upon arrival, Vishaka expresses her desire to leave the locality, as their business suffered greatly after Akshay’s passing. She regrets not learning a trade, which may have prevented their current situation. Manpreet inquires further and Vishaka turns to Prachi for information about how her grandmother used to live there. Vishaka recounts being approached by concerned women discussing Poorvi’s marriage and feeling angered by their pity towards Ashutosh. She boldly suggested that they marry off their daughters to him if they truly sympathize with his situation. Fed up with the situation, Prachi decides to confront the ladies herself.

Khushi tells Prachi not to reply to them and tells her to leave it. Poorvi tells her she has to attend an interview now. Diya says we don’t care what anyone says. Ashok asks Manpreet to see how they have grown up. He says Prachi has turned into a tigress. Vishaka says our family fights a lot, but we stand together when faced with an outsider. She says we love each other so much.

Diya asks Prachi not to worry and not to get angry. Pravi tells Prachi not to worry and don’t get angry. Prachi makes her eat curd and sugar. Poorvi says everything will be fine. Diya asks her to come. They say all the best. Prachi thanks God for giving her courageous kids and says if someone else was here, he would have cried and thought life was ruined, but she has moved on. In her opinion, my Poorvi and Khushi are both courageous and Ranbir would have been proud if he was here.
