Maati Se Bandhi Dor 20th November 2024 Written Update starts with Jaya reminiscing about her moments with Ranvijay. Holding their wedding photo, she talks to him through tears, expressing how she dressed in the bridal saree he had chosen for his bride—hoping to captivate him once more. Meanwhile, Vaiju asks Kaveri to call Jaya, feeling uneasy despite her celebration. Kaveri encourages her to focus on the occasion, but Vaiju remains anxious.
Jaya, overcome with emotions, pens a letter for Ranvijay. When Kaveri finally calls her, Jaya inquires about the event and whether the family is happy. Kaveri assures her that everyone misses her and offers to bring food, but Jaya declines, stating she’ll sleep early since Ranvijay is coming to pick her up the next morning. Kaveri reveals Ranvijay had to go to the mill for work, to which Jaya simply nods and ends the call.
Later, Jaya calls Ranvijay herself and asks how the function was. He replies indifferently, saying he didn’t want to attend. Jaya admits she knew but still felt he had to go. Ranvijay asks when he should come to get her, and she responds with “morning,” adding that she’s already ready. When he suggests coming right away, Jaya cryptically replies she can’t go looking like a bride. He grows concerned, but she brushes it off, saying she just wanted to hear his voice. Ranvijay tells her he wants to talk about something important, but Jaya says all her time belongs to him—even now. She bids him goodbye and ends the call.
As Ranvijay reflects on her words, Jaya hugs their photo and cries. Suddenly, the frame crashes to the floor. The emotional song Ab vidaa karo plays in the background. Disturbed, Ranvijay stops his bike and tries calling her again, but the call doesn’t connect. Sensing danger, he hurries home.
Jaya tearfully confesses her love for Ranvijay and then uses a piece of broken glass to slit her wrist.
Ranvijay arrives, knocks desperately, and finally breaks down the door. He rushes inside and finds Jaya seated quietly. He tries speaking to her but realizes something is wrong when she falls back in his arms. Shocked, he carries her and pleads for help on the road. A stranger helps him rush Jaya to the hospital. He holds onto hope, saying nothing will happen to her.
Elsewhere, Naagraj questions why Vaiju looks so worried after receiving such a prestigious award. She confesses her gut feeling that something terrible is about to happen. Sulekha blames Vaiju for Jaya leaving the house, but Vasundhara tries to calm everyone down, mentioning her recent visit with Jaya and that she planned to return home.
The scene shifts as Ragini receives a call from Ranvijay, who informs her about Jaya’s suicide attempt. Shocked, Ragini drops the phone and bursts into tears. She tells the family Jaya is in the hospital. Vasundhara demands to know why, and Ragini, trembling, replies that Jaya tried to end her life. Everyone is left stunned.
