A staff member gossips about Janvi at the Bundela Hotel as she arrives. She worries that Kian will be upset if he hears these rumors. Meanwhile, Aryaman visits Janvi’s house and discovers she is not there. Her neighbors tell him she has gone to the hotel for her engagement. Aruna Sadhu suggests performing the Churi Bharna ritual for Janvi, to which Janvi agrees. Sadhu introduces his parents, Hari Prasad Sadhu and his mother, Aruna Sadhu, to Janvi and her family at the hotel.
As Janvi participates in the ritual, she notices Kian shedding tears. Curious, she asks him what is troubling him. Interrupting, Pushkar explains that dust has irritated Kian’s eyes. Concerned about the rushed engagement, Janvi requests a moment alone with Kian. Despite her efforts to comfort him, the police show up to check on Janvi out of fear that she may escape the city. Sadhu directs Reva to take Kian inside while Janvi pleads with the officers not to arrest her. Assuring them of her innocence, Sadhu sends the police away.
Ritu reassures Janvi, saying that Sadhu handled the police and that he would do so again if necessary. Janvi was concerned that Kian would be hurt if he saw her being arrested.
Aryaman calls Kian, but Pushkar stops and takes the phone from him. Aryaman calls Janvi’s phone, but Pushkar answers. Aryaman warns Pushkar not to proceed with Sadhu and Janvi’s engagement, claiming Sadhu is the wrong person. Despite Aryaman’s concerns, Pushkar insists that the engagement will take place, threatens Kian, forcing him to smile, and shows Janvi that Kian appears happy.
Just as Sadhu is about to place the ring on Janvi’s finger, Aryaman interrupts, accusing Sadhu of cheating.
Pushkar demands proof of Aryaman’s accusation. Aryaman presents Swapna, stating that Sadhu was caught with her on his lap in a trial room, and Kian saw it. Janvi asks Kian if this is true, and Kian confirms it. In response to her question, Aryaman explains that he asked Kian to remain quiet until proof was available. He then displays the gold chain that he took from Swapna while trying to catch her.
Raina confronts Brij Bhushan, saying he trusted Aryaman on her recommendation, but Aryaman abandoned Alia in the middle of the road. Brij Bhushan remarks on the situation.
Defending himself, Sadhu asks Janvi if she believes he would do such a thing. He shows Aryaman a gold chain identical to the one he has, claiming it was given to him by Dadi. Aryaman is surprised. Sadhu thinks that it’s lucky Swapna forewarned him about Aryaman taking the chain, which allowed him to make and wear a replica.
He insists Kian only saw half of the truth. Swapna sat on his lap in the trial room to trap him, but he intended to hand her over to the police, but she escaped before he could. He also presents a letter he wrote to the police, in which he stated Swapna was a key figure in the escort racket and that he planned to capture her after his engagement and turn her in. After their engagement, he assures Janvi that he will give the police the letter.
