Mangal Lakshmi 10th December 2024 Written Update begins with Soumya accusing Mangal of attempting to murder her child. She says she will send Mangal to jail and claims Mangal could have killed her as well. Kusum begs Soumya not to do this and asks Adit to stop her, but Adit turns against Kusum. He says he expected her to support him for once because the child is his too. He says he will never forgive Mangal and demands punishment. Adit decides to sue the entire hospital and everyone involved, then storms outside. Kusum breaks down, terrified that the police will arrest Mangal. She says she will talk to Adit before he does anything, but Mangal stops her.

Kusum pleads, saying she cannot let Mangal take the blame because she only came to stop her. Mangal tells her not to worry and says she has nothing left to lose. She reminds Kusum that Adit still respects his mother and would fall apart if he found out what really happened. She cannot let him lose his faith in motherhood. Kusum cries, feeling guilty for putting Mangal in this position. Mangal says they will face whatever happens together.

Elsewhere, Jiya calls Gayatri and tells her to fuel the fire and destroy Lakshmi’s marriage. Gayatri says she will handle Karthik. When Karthik arrives, he asks who she is speaking to. Gayatri lies, saying she was arranging a pooja for him and Lakshmi that blesses couples with good news. Karthik scolds her, saying she should not say such things and that he does not want to do any pooja. Gayatri pretends to be confused and says she will talk to him later.

Soumya contacts an inspector and claims someone tried to abort her child. The inspector asks for her pregnancy reports, saying they need verification. Soumya gets annoyed and demands help without any investigation. Adit continues shouting at the hospital manager and says he will shut the place down. Kusum begs Soumya for forgiveness, but Adit stops her and tells her to see what Soumya has been through.

Adit asks Soumya when the police are arriving. She suddenly changes her tone and says she does not want to involve the police because she does not want to be like Mangal. She says she feels the responsibility of motherhood now and wonders what Akshar and Ishana would think if they found out their mother tried to do such a thing. She claims she wants to forgive Mangal for the sake of the kids and does not want revenge. Adit praises Soumya for being noble. They decide to return home. Kusum becomes confused, wondering why Soumya changed her behaviour so suddenly.

The hospital manager fires the nurse. As the nurse checks the blood report, she realises something important and says she must inform Kusum.

At home, Gayatri asks Karthik why he got annoyed when she spoke about having a child. Karthik explains that marriage can happen due to compromise, but a child is a lifelong responsibility for both parents. There must be real love. He says his marriage with Lakshmi started as a compromise and he cannot think about children yet. Lakshmi overhears only the first part and leaves in tears, assuming he still has feelings for Jiya. She misses the rest of his words as he tells Gayatri he has no feelings for Jiya, and that only Lakshmi matters to him. He says he wants to give their marriage time and does not want to rush her.

Adit returns home and tells Soumya to rest. He says he will bring her milk because no one else will care for her. Soumya cries that her child’s life is in danger and that the child will be questioned forever because she is not Adit’s legal wife. She worries that people will never let her child live a normal life. She asks what the solution is.

Meanwhile, Lakshmi stands silently near Karthik. She wonders if she should talk to him and finally asks if he believes their marriage is a compromise. She says she felt their bond was real and had begun to consider him her person. She asks if he still loves Jiya, but then realises he is asleep.

Back at Adit’s house, Mangal says there is a solution. She explains that the only way forward is for her and Adit to get a legal divorce so that Adit and Soumya can marry and give the child a family. Kusum is shocked. Mangal says everything has changed and they do not need to stay in a forced marriage. She says their kids are old enough to understand and that the unborn child deserves a stable home too. Mangal says her leaving will make life easier for everyone. She asks Adit to prepare the divorce papers because she is ready to sign them.
