However, Gayatri stops Karthik and asks for a valid reason to call off the engagement. She firmly believes that he will have a better life with Lakshmi and has already decided that she will be their daughter-in-law. With that, Gayatri takes her leave and Karthik feels like there’s only one option – Lakshmi.
Karthik dials Lakshmi’s number and Kusum answers. He requests to speak with Lakshmi and asks her to come by his room. However, things aren’t going according to plan. Kusum questions what is happening, to which Karthik explains that Lakshmi’s phone is charging and she is getting ready for the day. Karthik then calls Mangal as Adit reminds him of their prepared arrangements. Adit adds that everything was rushed for the wedding, but Karthik liked Mangal so much that he decided to marry someone similar – Lakshmi. This surprised many because they probably expected Karthik to choose a more attractive bride, but he has proven them wrong. Everyone is eagerly waiting for Karthik to join them.
Jiya congratulates Karthik on his engagement, expressing surprise at the sudden news. However, Karthik protests and explains that his mother has misunderstood the situation.
