Adit receives praise from his boss for the decor, while Papa expresses his happiness in having him here. The boss introduces his son and mentions his excitement about being there. Initially hesitant, Adit changes his mind upon learning that Karthik will also be present. Kusum reveals that Karthik is her nephew and offers to take Adit to meet him. In the meantime, Somaiya calls to inform Adit that their boss is at home and requests she check on the hotel to ensure the food is prepared.
In the garden, Mangal is busy cooking a delicious meal. She confidently states that she will prepare the vegetables herself. Suddenly, Somaiya arrives and is taken aback by what she sees. After inspecting the cooked food, she questions Mangal’s decision to invite halvai (sweets) to their gathering. When Mangal mentions they have an Indian menu with Jalebi, Somaiya inquires about her lack of communication with Adit. Feeling unsure what to do next, Mangal calls Adit for clarification and urges him to join them in the garden. Perplexed, Somaiya insists on speaking to Adit directly and asks him to come outside. Inquisitive, Mangal wonders if she made a mistake and awaits Adit’s arrival so that he can explain the situation.
Kusum and Shanti greet the arriving guests, while Lipika asks Shanti if she notices her necklace. After a brief exchange, Shanti mentions that they had previously agreed to give the necklace away, but Lipika disagrees, claiming that Didi (presumably Kusum) had told her not to. This leads to an argument, with Shanti accusing Lipika of always using others’ names to cover up her actions. The conversation turns tense when Shanti accuses Lakshmi of stealing money from the shop earnings to buy the expensive necklace she’s wearing. In a fit of anger, she grabs Lakshmi’s arm.
Then Adit comes out. Somaiya says see all this. Adit is shocked. She says you told me something else, and they’re cooking Indian food here. Adit is shocked. She says will you feed the guests this? Is this a village wedding? And look at all the dirt. Mangal says peels can be removed quickly. She orders the cooks to remove them. Somaiya says Italian food had to be ordered. What is all this about? Do they cook daal gobi here?
Mangal expresses confusion, prompting Adit to question their ability to comprehend anything. He inquires who instructed them to prepare all of this, to which she admits it was him. However, she remains baffled. Adit dismisses her statement as nonsense and denies ever asking for her assistance. He clarifies that their guests are not from the same area as Mangal and scolds her for not following the list he provided with specific instructions on what food to make and order. However, when asked if she saw the list, she responded with “list.” Adit reiterates his previous inquiry about the list and recalls that she had agreed earlier. Mangal appears confused until she reveals that she created the list herself. In frustration, Adit tells her to stop talking and loudly orders her to remove everything within five minutes. He clarifies that he wants no one present at the gathering and demands that all items be removed immediately.
Somaiya says I’m stuck with people like her. She says don’t worry, I’ll do something. I’ll handle it. The caterers are coming. I’ll handle it. I was confused, so I called you. You handle the guests. I’ll take care of it. As Adit thanks you, Mangal shouts at her and tells her to remove it. Somaiya assures him that she is here. Mangal leaves distressingly.
Shanti tugs on Lakshmi’s necklace and remarks that it does not belong to them. Before she can continue, Mangal intervenes, asking Shanti about her actions and scolding her for causing Lakshmi pain. As Mangal tends to the scratches on Lakshmi’s neck, she reminds Shanti that regardless of what may have happened, she cannot mistreat Lakshmi. Mangal emphasizes that she will always stand by Lakshmi as she is not alone. Shanti retorts by reminding Mangal that she is her mother.
Shanti and Gayatri arrive. Kusum asks what happened. Shanti replies everything is fine. I wish Mangal trusted me as she did you. Kusum asks what do you mean? Shanti says you know we are tight on money. I raised Laksmi like my daughter. I never discriminated against her. Kusum taunts and says yeah, we’ve seen your fairness. Shanti says Mangal doesn’t trust me. Lipika says Lakshmi betrayed us. Mangal asks how. Everyone is shocked.
Mangal scolds Shanti for her actions. She explains that they had planned to gift him a new sofa, but she couldn’t follow through due to unforeseen financial circumstances. However, Mangal realized it was unnecessary as Adit’s gift perfectly fit the theme. But when pressed for an explanation of where the money went, Lipika claims to have used it to purchase a necklace, causing confusion among the group. Lakshmi denies buying anything, and Shanti questions if she stole it. Kusum suggests it could be fake, but Gayatri reveals that it is real and belongs to her, leaving everyone stunned.
