The episode begins with Adit bringing Mangal home in his car. He disguises his voice and guides her to the door, telling her they have reached safely. Mangal thanks him, but because her vision is blurred after the chemical spill, she walks in the wrong direction and is about to step onto the main road. Adit calls out her name loudly and rushes to pull her back. He scolds her gently and says even if she cannot see, she can at least hear. Mangal apologises and asks how he knew she could not see properly. Adit replies that he simply guessed. When he questions her, Mangal explains that during the cooking show a liquid splashed into her eyes and since then everything appears blurry. Adit asks how she is managing, and Mangal quietly says she will adjust.
Inside the house, Sowmya sits on the sofa browsing dresses online. Kusum walks in and asks her whether she is unwell and if she needs to see a doctor. Sowmya hides her irritation and says she just needs to rest for a while before cooking. Kusum stops her immediately, reminding her that she is pregnant and should not exert herself. Kusum says she will prepare the food. Sowmya feels relieved, thinking that at least she does not have to face Mangal at the competition.
Adit enters with Mangal. Kusum panics and asks what happened to her eyes. Adit explains that some ice cream making liquid splashed into her eyes and since Akshat is away on a school trip, she should not be left alone. He adds that the doctor has advised her not to strain her eyes, so it is safer for her to stay here. Sowmya questions Adit’s confidence and asks how he knows she cannot manage alone. Adit replies that it is basic common sense and as a father it is his responsibility to ensure she is safe. He asks Sowmya to bring water for Mangal. Sowmya becomes irritated.
Kusum scolds Mangal, wondering how someone who has worked in the kitchen for years could make such a mistake and injure her eyes. She says these things always happen to Mangal, while Sowmya works in the same kitchen and stays unharmed. Sowmya feels satisfied seeing Kusum blame Mangal and hopes that Mangal does not reveal that she was injured while saving her. Mangal simply says it was an accident. Kusum continues scolding her without listening.
Just then, Bhabhi Ji arrives. She immediately questions why Kusum is shouting at Mangal without knowing the full truth. Kusum asks who she is, and Adit hides quickly in fear of being recognised. Sowmya greets Bhabhi Ji nervously. Bhabhi Ji silences Sowmya and reveals that Mangal saved Sowmya’s life during the competition and got injured because of it. She explains that Sowmya had created several obstacles for Mangal during the round, yet Mangal still saved her and her baby.
Mangal asks how Bhabhi Ji found her. Bhabhi Ji says she went to Mangal’s home first and learnt she was here. She tells Kusum that Mangal is a rare person who helps even those who hurt her. Kusum agrees. Bhabhi Ji then questions Sowmya for not telling the family the truth earlier. Sowmya tries to cover up, saying she was about to inform them. Bhabhi Ji asks her to call her husband so she can tell him how his ex saved his present wife. Mangal requests her not to involve the family and says her mother will look after her.
Bhabhi Ji reminds Kusum that Mangal once left her cooking competition to help her. She informs everyone that the final round of Pehla Swad will take place the next day and that the finalist will be selected within 24 hours. She warns Mangal to be extremely careful and then leaves.
Sowmya returns to her room and angrily confronts Adit, asking why he hid and allowed Bhabhi Ji to insult her instead of supporting her. Adit quickly lies, saying he was bathing and did not know anything. Sowmya questions how he knew they were discussing the competition if he was bathing and points out that he does not look like he took a bath. Adit panics internally, thinking he must not let Sowmya discover he works as Bhabhi Ji’s PA.
