At Sumeet and Shlok’s remarriage, a person in a veil knocks at their door, claiming to be Kanchan from their ancestral village, who is there to bless them. Dadi welcomes her as she’s from her town. As it turns out, Shagun is trying to ruin the occasion. Rajiv praises Tauji for implementing the haldi ritual with a toy car, but Shagun distracts him by throwing a plate and sneaking something into the haldi.
Anju and Rajiv bring the haldi, and Dadi asks Poonam to begin the ritual. Shlok secretly holds Sumeet’s hand and tries to be romantic. When a dead snake is found in the Haldi Bowl, Shagun believes her drama will soon unfold. Assumeet reassures everyone that they are together and happy, guests blame Anju and Rajiv for being unprofessional wedding planners, and Shagun anticipates more chaos as family members begin to fight.
Rajiv and Tauji are about to disagree, but Sumeet and Shlok effectively diffuse the tension. Finding a bright side to the mistake, Sumeet gets to grind the turmeric personally for Shlok. Curious about the snake’s appearance in the haldi, she ponders how it got there. As they continue, Shlok teasingly prompts her to embrace the lifestyle of a star wife by making demands. However, Sumeet cherishes their bond above material things and expresses her joy by wishing for Shlok’s success on stage.
Rajiv and Anju’s conversation is interrupted by Anju’s tears, upset about the wedding preparations. She tells Rajiv they dreamed too big and now feel it’s their last wedding planning job. Shlok is determined not to let this happen since he has put everything on the line. Sumeet asks Shlok if he would give up singing if the producer rejected his song.
Taji notices a foul odor, and Shlok identifies it as formalin. They realize the same odor came from Kanchan, the person in the veil. Sumeet has a good idea for uncovering the truth. She proposes feeding the guests sweets, beginning with Shagun. Shagun, however, refuses to eat because she smells formalin in the custard.
In a flashback, Sumeet and Akki uncover the truth that Kanchan was Shagun in disguise. Shlok confronts Shagun about her infiltration into their home while the rest of the family urges her to leave. As the turmeric ritual for Shlok and Sumeet progresses joyfully, Raj and Priyanka join in on the celebrations, and Raj applies turmeric to both brothers. However, Shagun takes it upon herself to call the music producer and break their contract, convinced that it will negatively impact Shlok’s career and create tension between them.
