Sumeet points out a jar of pickles and recalls how Raj forbid her from eating them to avoid a sore throat. Bitti speculates that if Sumeet is pregnant, she won’t be able to resist indulging in the pickles. Despite Sumeet’s insistence on washing the dishes herself and showcasing their sparkling cleanliness, she eventually gives in and tries the pickles. However, Bitti misinterprets the situation and informs Poonam that Sumeet must be pregnant since she enjoyed the pickles. To verify her suspicions, Bitti enlists Poonam’s help in trying to deceive Sumeet into picking up a holy thread under the guise of being a customary practice for pregnant women.
Seeing if Sumeet picks up the holy thread, Bitti and Poonam hide. Sumeet leaves after praying to God and adding ghee to the lamp. Pankhuri informs Sumeet to prepare for the muh dikhai ritual. Shlok leaves for work when Sumeet takes his box, leading to an argument as she tries to stop him, but Shlok leaves after speaking rudely to her. Raunak tells Vani that he must attend the muh dikhai ritual. Shagun suggests Vani convince Sumeet to attend.
Sumeet recalls Bitti’s mention of the sacred thread for expecting mothers and decides to save it for Vani. Observing Sumeet taking the thread, Poonam and Bitti mistakenly assume she is pregnant and scheming to ensnare Shlok. Enraged, Poonam swears to drive Sumeet out of the house. Meanwhile, shopkeepers demand payment from Pankhuri for a dress she borrowed, but Raj steps in and settles the bill. Grateful for his gesture, Pankhuri accepts Raj’s offer to work as his secretary. Little does Sumeet know that Raj plans to utilize Pankhuri’s role to monitor Shlok and expose his true character as materialistic and incapable of caring for her.
In addition to arranging Sumeet’s muh dikhai, Poonam assures Shagun that he will come to her house with her. Pankhuri informs Vani that Sumeet is getting ready in her room. Bitti stops Sumeet from putting her sindoor, claiming that only she is permitted to do so. A struggle ensues, and Bitti cuts Sumeet’s hand with scissors. Poonam takes the bloodied scissors to Bitti, suggesting they can use them to determine if Sumeet is pregnant.
During the ritual, Vani asks Raunak to remove Sumeet’s veil and complete the ceremony. Sumeet asks if she trusts she is married to Shlok, but Vani believes she should be married to Raunak. Sumeet stops him and insists that her husband should do it. She goes behind Shlok to stop him, but he denies Sumeet participated in the ritual. Sumeet vows not to remove the veil unless Shlok does it, as the episode ends.
