Despite Mandira’s offer of shagun bangles, Shakti pushes her away and says she does not wish to marry. Keertan says not to misbehave, but Shakti tells him to shut up. Rimjhim yells at her not to insult her fiance. Shakti says he doesn’t love you. Rimjhim tells her to stop talking. According to Keertan, Shakti is correct. I had discussed marriage with her but for Rimjhim and me. Shakti is shocked to hear that.
Keertan explains that he has no desire to marry Shakti, emphasizing that she is mistaken. He expresses his strong love for Rimjhim, which began from their first meeting and has continued to grow. Keertan firmly believes that they are meant to be together and reassures Shakti that his love for Rimjhim surpasses any feelings he may have for her. However, Shakti accuses him of lying. Rimjhim calls out her self-absorbed behavior, questioning whether she truly believes everyone is after her and dismissing the idea that someone may choose her over Shakti. It seems as though you want all the attention to be on you.
Shakti refuted, “That’s not true.” Rimjhim exclaimed, “You were never my sister!” Keertan intervened, urging Shakti, “Please don’t say that. She is your sister.” He implored Shakti to prioritize Rimjhim’s happiness above all else. Mandira smirked, thinking that her son had proven himself to be just like her. Keertan pressed Shakti to consider their family’s request – they would only accept the marriage if Shiv were included. He pleaded with Shakti to agree for his sake. Mandira confirmed this, explaining that she had already tried persuading the family, but they insisted on Shiv marrying Shakti so Rimjhim could be accepted into their family. They considered Rimjhim too immature and wanted Shakti as their daughter-in-law instead. Keertan would be devastated without Rimjhim, and Shiv was also the perfect match for Shakti.
Keertan is praised as an exceptional surgeon who deeply cares for his community. Mandira admires Keertan’s devotion and believes he would do anything for Shakti, bringing her joy. Manorama expresses her acceptance of the proposal but clarifies that it is only under the condition that Keertan and Rimjhim be married. This news takes aback Shakti. However, Manorama clarifies that if Shakti does not wish to marry Shiv, she will not be pressured into it. Rimjhim questions this decision, but Manorama believes that forcing Shakti into a marriage she does not want goes against her values. She refuses to have different standards for her daughters and states nobody should pressure Shakti to marry Shiv for Keertan and Rimjhim’s wedding.
If Rimjhim wants to marry Keertan, she should proceed with it. Shakti voices his disagreement, but Manorama reassures her that her opinion is important. If you do not want to marry Shiv, that is completely fine. However, if Rimjhim decides to marry Keertan, I will follow her decision. She has the right to live on her terms, and I will not pressure you into anything. Rimjhim agrees, stating that Shakti’s disapproval is baseless.
