Gurnoor is Akeer’s music teacher, and she is currently practicing the song Sa Re Ga Ma. As they are singing, Angad enters the room. Gurnoor politely inquires if he needs anything, to which Angad apologizes for interrupting and assures them he will return later. Gurnoor graciously accepts his apology and mentions that she is still teaching happily despite their disagreement yesterday. She shares that playing music constantly improves her mood. Angad then asks Akeer if he took Sahiba’s passport, to which Akeer replies that he has no idea where it may be. Gurnoor’s expression turns sour at this news.
Angad inquires about Gurnoor’s sudden upset after she revealed her joy for playing music. Gurnoor explains that she must now give music lessons to Akeer. Just as Angad is about to leave, Manveer arrives and informs him of Bebe’s call for both Angad and Akeer. Akeer asks Gurnoor to come along, but Manveer interjects, stating that Gurnoor is not included in the invitation. Angad reminds Manveer that Gurnoor is Akeer’s caretaker and would know anything regarding him. While Manveer seethes in anger, Angad takes Akeer and Gurnoor.
Beeja gives Zoravar’s gift to her aides and instructs them to send it directly to Gurnoor through a new aide. Meanwhile, Bebe gathers the family to announce Akeer’s upcoming dastarbandi ceremony. Angad reminds Akeer about his previous request to wear a pagdi when he grows up, while Jasleen points out that Akeer may not fully understand the significance of this tradition. Nevertheless, Akeer shares that his mother has promised a grand ceremony for his dastarbandi and emphasized that the pagdi is more than just a piece of cloth; it represents the crown of a Sikh.
Prabjot inquires about his preparedness for the dastarbandi. Bebe assures him of a splendid ceremony in his honor. Akeer extends an invitation to Gurnoor for the event. In her customary belittling manner, Manveer declares that she will never permit a caretaker to attend her grandson’s ritual. Akeer insists on Gurnoor’s presence, stating that he will not proceed without her. Manveer informs Jasleen that she will not allow Gurnoor to join the celebration under any circumstances and proposes alternative plans.
The tailor master measures Akeer for his special day outfit, but Akeer’s constant movement hinders the process. Gurnoor steps in and reminds Akeer of the significance of accurate measurements for a well-fitting dress. Ultimately, Akeer entrusts Angad with taking his measurements, and as he enters, Gurnoor accidentally stumbles into him. Their gazes meet and linger.
As the title track of Serial plays in the background, Gurnoor apologizes to Angad for causing a delay. She explains that she was busy taking Akeer’s measurements. Angad then mentions how Akeer had replaced him and left without notice. Later, an aide from Beeja’s office arrives at the Brar mansion with a parcel and politely requests that he only hand it to Gurnoor. The maid directs Gurnoor to the parcel, and the aide delivers it to her before departing.
As Gurnoor opens the parcel, her expression quickly turns to irritation. She remembers the frantic moment she hastily discarded the contents while fleeing Zoravar’s house. Catching seeing someone approaching, she quickly conceals the parcel and inquires about its delivery with the maid. According to her, a man wearing a white shirt and grey pants was responsible for dropping it off.
Gurnoor manages to locate the man and inquires about the parcel’s sender. Fearing potential repercussions from Beeja, he quickly makes his way out through the store room. In the process, she accidentally falls onto Angad, causing them to get entangled in a nearby set of curtains. Concerned for her well-being, Angad questions why she was in the store room. She suggests they focus on getting out of their predicament first. This reminds Angad of his similar situation with Sahiba, where they struggled to free themselves from the tangled fabric.
