Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 11th August 2024 Written Update begins with Rohit thinking about Ruhi’s harsh words while fixing a bike, during which he injures himself. Armaan steps in to help, but Rohit responds with sarcasm. Armaan questions his motives—why would Rohit request Dadi to get him married to Abhira despite their animosity? Rohit replies that Armaan should be thankful and happy.
As Armaan joins him in repairing the bike, he says that even though he and Abhira want to marry, their joy is linked to family harmony and Rohit’s approval. He expresses frustration at Rohit’s daily hostility. Watching from a distance, Ruhi plots to trigger Rohit’s anger in hopes he’ll reconsider his decisions.
Vidya warns Ruhi not to intervene, fearing further complications. Tensions rise when Rohit accuses Armaan of meddling in his marriage again. Armaan defends his actions toward Ruhi, saying her injury demanded basic humanity. Rohit twists this into an accusation—was Armaan acting out of empathy or affection?

Vijay supports Rohit’s demand, believing his healing depends on this marriage. Dadi initially scolds but softens when Vidya says the family must make sacrifices. Dadi worries about the firm’s future if Rohit isn’t happy and instructs everyone to prepare for Teej.
Later, Armaan and Abhira discuss the pressure they’re under. Abhira notes that their last marriage attempt was forced, and though Dadi may agree now, it’s due to compulsion. She doesn’t want to marry unless Dadi accepts her wholeheartedly. Armaan insists they love each other, but Abhira says their love alone isn’t enough—without family acceptance, they can’t be truly happy. She walks away, saying this time she’s afraid to lose him. Ruhi, observing silently, believes Abhira will never compromise.
Elsewhere, Madhav looks at a childhood picture of Rohit and Armaan. Rohit reminisces about his fifth birthday, feeling abandoned when Madhav didn’t show up. He remembers Armaan stepping in and making the day special. Madhav apologizes and says Armaan acted not just as a brother but a father figure. Rohit, trying to suppress emotion, thanks him for recognizing Armaan’s contributions.
Armaan is later seen lost in thought, haunted by Abhira and Dadi’s words. He cries out in frustration as Ruhi watches. He admits Abhira is right—Dadi will always harbor resentment. Ruhi scoffs, dismissing his thoughts. Armaan finds a note from Abhira with a drawing of a bench, symbolizing her waiting.
