Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th August 2024 Written Episode Update begins with Ruhi attempting to manipulate Dadi against Abhira. She suggests changing Abhira’s name to bring positive changes in her life, citing an example of her friend’s kundali dosh being resolved with a name change. She tells Dadi that “Abhira” means fearless, which makes her Sasural fearful of her, and proposes giving her a sweeter name. Dadi begins to consider the idea.
Meanwhile, Krish teaches dance steps to the family. Armaan jokingly flaunts his Naagin dance, making everyone laugh. He asks Rohit to dance at his wedding. Rohit obliges, and Armaan emotionally acknowledges Rohit’s support for him and Abhira. Later, Manisha organizes the dance practices.
Ruhi internally hopes that Abhira will rebel against the name change suggestion, causing Dadi to oust her. Abhira, meanwhile, gets emotional remembering her mother Akshu and thanks her for choosing Armaan as her life partner. She visits Manish and emotionally invites him to her wedding, describing Armaan as her perfect partner who supports her in every challenge. Though hesitant, Manish agrees to attend and blesses her.
The next morning, at court, Abhira receives a box with a smiley kachori and a message from Armaan. He surprises her with coffee and a flying kiss. A girl congratulates Armaan on his marriage and asks for a 2 lakh advance. He agrees and transfers the money, while Abhira, aware she only has Rs. 5000, worries about arranging the wedding.
Later, Armaan pretends he wants to delay the wedding by six months. Abhira agrees, revealing she felt the same due to wanting time to earn Dadi’s trust. But Armaan admits he was joking. The couple laughs it off. Their family joins them and discusses the engagement preparations. Vidya asks them to pick rings, and Manisha assures them she’ll handle everything.
