Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 28th September 2024 Written Episode begins with Armaan declaring that he and Abhira will leave the house. He says that if Vidya had asked for his life, he would have given it, because she once called him her son. Abhira tries to stop him, reminding him that this house is his world. Armaan agrees but adds that since Vidya gave him this world, he must now give something back in return. He refuses to step back. Abhira pleads with Vidya not to do this, but Armaan holds her hand and takes her away, leaving everyone in tears.
Abhira insists that she wants to talk to Vidya, but Armaan says they are leaving and she should accept that he is her family now. Abhira argues that they cannot leave the family and that she also has a right to decide. As the water jug falls, Armaan breaks down, saying that Vidya cannot bear to see his face and therefore they cannot stay. He insists there are no rights, only duties. Abhira still hopes to convince Vidya, but Armaan refuses.
Elsewhere, Dadi grows angry. Sanjay arrives and says that while everyone is upset, it is best if Armaan and Abhira leave. He reminds Dadi that she once said Vidya’s anger is sharper than a sword, and now she has indeed used that sword to cast them out. Dadi admits she never wanted Armaan to leave, but Sanjay insists they should support Vidya, claiming that peace will return once Abhira is gone. He adds that Rohit is the son of the family and Ruhi the true bahu. Armaan and Abhira cry together.
Armaan blames himself, calling himself a bad husband, but Abhira stops him from saying so. He asks her to start packing. Meanwhile, Rohit looks at the family photograph and cries. Ruhi asks him to convince Vidya not to oust Armaan and Abhira. She questions if he still doubts Armaan, but Rohit admits he no longer has any doubts and knows that Armaan truly loves Abhira. Ruhi urges him to speak to Vidya, but Rohit says she will not listen. They hug, both heartbroken.
Abhira later goes to Vidya and says that while Armaan is leaving with her, she is leaving his childhood memories behind for Vidya. She tells Vidya that her anger will end, and she will miss him once he leaves. Handing over a photograph, Abhira reminds her of the bangles Vidya once gave her, along with a promise never to separate Armaan from his family. Abhira says Vidya broke that promise, but she will not. She vows that she will not let Armaan stay separated from his mother and family. Vidya cries as Abhira leaves.
Krish and the younger family members feel sad. Ruhi consoles them, saying that although they are children, they still have a right to speak, but sadly they can do nothing in this situation. Someone secretly watches them.
The next morning, Manish looks at old pictures and hopes that both Abhira and Ruhi will remain happy in their marital homes. Armaan tells Rohit he can call him anytime, even without a reason. They hug emotionally. Rohit assures him that Vidya will eventually calm down and he will bring him back. Armaan asks him to take care of her.
As everyone hugs Armaan and Abhira, Madhav too embraces them and requests Armaan to stop. Before they leave, Vidya feeds them curd and sugar as a ritual. Armaan then asks where Dadi is. Sanjay says she is nowhere to be found. Just then, servants bring out white clothes, and a pandit arrives, announcing that he has been called to perform someone’s Antim Kriya. Everyone is left shocked.
