When Armaan sees childhood video clips, he cries. The song Tera Yaar Hoon Mai….plays…. Rohit sees their childhood picture. He recalls the moments with his father. Armaan says you used to come to me if anyone troubled you, why aren’t you coming to me when life is troubling you, what happened, what changed, tell me, I can’t do anything. In his mind, Rohit recalls Armaan’s words. He cries. Dadi knocks on the door.
Rohit enters the room and inquires about what is troubling the person. She asks if it pertains to work or has something to do with her. Rohit mentions that she had prevented them from seeking Armaan’s assistance, but now they may ask for his help as he cares deeply for them. She assures him that he will be delighted when they surpass him in their careers. The person then expresses their need for Rohit’s assistance and insists she cannot decline. Meanwhile, Suwarna receives a call and agrees to go somewhere. Dadi also requests Manish and Surekha to join, but they both refuse. Even though Suwarna suggests their presence is requested, Surekha wonders if an apology is the reason behind the invitation. Despite this, Manish remains adamant about not attending, and Suwarna becomes concerned.
Armaan comes into his room. He sees Abhira keep her clothes in the cupboard. He says you came to my room to mess it up. Abhira writes on the notepad and shows him. He reads… It’s your fault, and your honeymoon got cancelled, so don’t unpack. He says to behave maturely. He asks her to remove the tape. She signs no. He takes the book and sees Abhira drawing a bull. She says yes.
Krish informs everyone that the police are here to see Armaan. The inspector then arrests Armaan, leaving everyone in a state of shock. Vidya questions what is going on while Armaan reassures them he will return later in the day. Madhav protests against his son being taken away, and Sanjay asks for an explanation of the charges. The inspector suggests discussing the matter at the police station. Abhira chases after Armaan, but they pause at the door and dance instead. Dadi reveals that it was all a surprise, leading to everyone smiling. The police eventually depart from the scene.
Dadi welcomes everyone to Poddar’s New Year party. Manisha admits to being scared, and Dadi expresses surprise at the realistic performance of the fake police. Vidya chimes in, acknowledging her fear, and Manoj agrees. Dadi then reveals that Rohit was the mastermind behind the prank, suggesting they should hold his ears as punishment. Vidya playfully mentions how even Aryan doesn’t pull such elaborate pranks. Rohit apologizes for having to punish Armaan, explaining that he felt he needed to teach him a lesson for giving him all his love and rights without keeping any for himself. Armaan humbly responds that Rohit’s presence is enough for him. This leads to a heartwarming hug between Rohit and Armaan.
Suwarna reflects on Ruhi’s words while Armaan inquires about his actions. Rohit reassures him that he cannot afford to make any mistakes. Armaan probes further, to which Rohit explains how he has realized the need to mature and be responsible, just like them. This realization has made him feel anxious. Doubtful, Armaan asks for confirmation, and Rohit affirms it. Sanjay notices Manish and leaves. Suwarna reminds Armaan of their resolved problem and cautions him about the repercussions of Rohit finding out the truth. She implores him to let go of Rohit and focus on their impending marriage.
Ruhi notices Armaan and remembers his words. Then, she spots Rohit and recalls his words as well. The snacks tempt Abhira, and she grabs a burger. However, she decides against it, thinking she won’t remove the tape until he apologizes. She doesn’t want him to know about her family’s fights. Dadi enters and inquires about the situation. Abhira signals to explain, but everyone else watches. Armaan apologizes to Dadisa and takes Abhira away with him. He asks her to remove the tape, but she refuses. She runs away, and he chases her while music plays in the background… Finally, he catches her and gently removes the tape as they share an intimate moment.
She calls out to Armaan, who then offers her a sandwich and encourages her to eat. After he leaves, she decides to eat the sandwich first but coughs. Rohit comes to her aid, giving her water, for which she expresses gratitude. Apologetically, he acknowledges his mistake and admits that she was right. However, she reassures him that it’s okay. He describes his desire for feedback, realising he often feels uninformed about his actions. He mentions how Armaan had tried to reason with him when he misbehaved towards him. She acknowledges Armaan’s deep affection for him. Rohit apologizes again, and she remarks on the happiness in the family, expressing her joy at seeing everyone content.
Rohit explains that having a party and seeing everyone happy one last time before the year ended was essential. When she asks him what he means, he confirms that it is indeed the year’s final day and a new one will start tomorrow. Despite feeling sad, he reassures her he is fine and simply emotional at seeing everyone happy after a long time. She acknowledges that they often worry because of her but questions why Rohit looks so helpless. He wishes her all the best, knowing she will need it, but she insists everything will be okay. However, in his mind, he knows that she will be leaving in a year. Nevertheless, she tells him he will be there to help her, to which he sadly responds by saying that won’t be the case for much longer. Confused, she asks what he means by this statement.
