Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 2nd December 2025 Written Update begins with Kaveri standing outside Abhira’s room, watching quietly. Suhasini asks her why she is observing them so closely. Kaveri reveals she is worried about Abhira and Armaan’s anniversary. At the Poddar house, Vidya is thinking the same thing.
Abhira and Armaan begin their plan. Abhira tells the family that she fought with Armaan. At the same time Armaan tells Vidya that Abhira ruined the anniversary by fighting with him. Both Kaveri and Vidya ask them the exact same question. Why did this fight happen. Their answers make both women tense. Kaveri advises Abhira to call Armaan and clear the misunderstanding. Stress makes her eat junk food. Seeing her troubled state, Abhira decides to tell her the truth, but Armaan calls her in time and stops her from revealing anything.
Abhira insists that they should tell the truth because she feels guilty. Armaan explains that he also does not feel good about hiding things. He says that if they do not act now, the differences between Vidya and Kaveri will never be resolved. The drama is difficult but necessary to unite the family.
Kaveri and Vidya try to overhear their conversation. Realising this, Abhira and Armaan start a dramatic fake fight again. They decide not to actually go to court, but Kaveri and Vidya insist they should go and both prepare to accompany them. Kaveri plans to speak to Armaan alone while Vidya decides she will talk to Abhira.
At court, Abhira and Armaan continue practicing their act. Armaan tells Abhira to fight convincingly so that Kaveri and Vidya reconcile. Abhira wants the drama to end soon and agrees. Armaan hugs her for a moment, but her lipstick leaves a mark on his shirt. She panics and asks him to clean it before Kaveri or Vidya notices, otherwise their plan will fall apart.
Meanwhile, Kaveri and Vidya discuss the situation and decide they must join hands to stop Abhira and Armaan from separating. Kaveri says she is only doing this for the sake of the couple. Vidya agrees.
Abhira and Armaan continue fighting in front of their elders. Kaveri and Vidya jump between them, more nervous than before. In order to increase the drama, Abhira and Armaan declare that they are ending their marriage. Both women are shocked.
Vidya confronts Armaan and asks him to apologise to Abhira. Armaan bluntly asks Vidya why he should apologise when she herself never apologised to Kaveri. Vidya is stunned for a moment. Just then she notices the lipstick mark on Armaan’s shirt. She immediately realises that the entire fight is fake.
Instead of exposing them directly, Vidya decides to turn the situation around. She shocks them by pretending to support their separation. She says they are adults and can decide for themselves. Kaveri is surprised at Vidya’s reaction. Vidya even suggests calling Maira to inform her about their decision.
Armaan and Abhira panic. Vidya reaches for Armaan’s phone and calls Maira, but Abhira grabs the phone before she can speak. Vidya then confronts both of them. She tells them that they planned this drama only to force her to apologise to Kaveri. Kaveri scolds them for crossing limits and disrespecting their elders.
Armaan and Abhira apologise and explain that they did everything only to reunite Vidya and Kaveri. However, neither of them agrees to forgive. They refuse to return to the Poddar house and leave angrily.
Abhira and Armaan are left worried and upset. Abhira asks Armaan why he is talking about breaking the family. Armaan replies that the family is already broken and Maira must learn to live without depending on a big united family because they cannot bring the Poddars together again.
