As she thanks Anuj for his help, Anuj says she has no compulsions. I’ll make sure Shruti understands if she wants to refuse to cater to his wedding functions. She says I agreed to do it after thinking else would have refused then itself. She goes. Anuj also goes. The contestants come for the Superstar Chef competition and wave their hands. Anupama goes there as well.

The judges congratulated them for being selected as superstar chefs in 2024. She introduces herself as Sally Paka and introduces Chef Hitachi Wang and Keith. The contestants will be tested for the various rounds to see if they can cook and be great chefs, and the competition won’t be easy.

Keith says that it will not be a cakewalk. They will be tested on their speech, innovation, and brilliance as culinary experts, and if they don’t meet the expectations, they will be eliminated. Sally sees Anupama having the plaster on his hand and asks her. Anupama replies that it is only a small injury. Keith replies that she cannot do it. Anupama replies that she can cook with her left hand.

Sally says let’s be practical, I understand your passion but. Anupama says she raised four children and cooked food with them in her hands. She asks them to give her a chance and says if I cannot cook, you can oust me. If I say no, then you’ll leave. He says to try again next year. He asks her to leave. As Anupama walks out, she thinks of Yashdeep, Toshu, and Vanraj’s words. She tears up. She asks Sally to stop, and she says one minute.

Kavya is pleased to hear that Dimpy has informed Vanraj of her decision. She explained that she had received a call from Didi and had to leave. Dimpy reassures her, admitting she wasn’t prepared to have the conversation so soon. Kavya reminds her to go to court if Vanraj attempts to take Ansh away from her. At this, Vanraj claps and asks if this is a family or a matchstick box. He sarcastically suggests calling the police and pressing charges against him. Kavya asks if he believes it’s fair for him to take their son away from her. Vanraj raises his voice, but Dimpy intervenes, asking him not to yell.

As she tells Anupama, she has a right to disagree with her fellow judge, which is what she is doing. Keith says you are favoring her because of her gender.

Dimpy apologizes to Vanraj and expresses her discomfort in discussing their issues. She explains that she feels neglected by him despite his role as a father figure, pointing out that even her father has cut ties with her. Dimpy wishes Vanraj would have stood up for her like he does for Pakhi. She informs him that she does not want their son, Ansh, to think of her as a failure and emphasizes the importance of having a father in his life. Dimpy assures Vanraj that she will not keep Ansh away from him and reiterates that she does not want to go against her father’s wishes again regarding marriage.

Sally explains that she is not evaluating the woman but looking at her as an individual. She assures that factors such as gender, race, color, and nationality do not play a role in her decision. Sally admires the woman’s determination despite facing a problematic accident and believes her presence here is truly inspiring. She reminds everyone that this is more than just a cooking competition. Hitachi agrees with Sally and suggests giving the woman a chance to compete. Sally invites the woman to return to her station, clarifying that while she will have an equal opportunity, there will be no special treatment or extra time given. Keith warns that failure will result in elimination. Anupama responds with an “okay.”

Vanraj steps outside his home and sits on the nearby bench. Upon noticing Anuj on the adjacent bench, he inquires about why he is in the afternoon. Anuj points out that Vanraj himself is also occupying a bench now. Vanraj then acknowledges his comparatively smaller business and prompts Anuj to think about how Anupama will manage to cook with her injured hand during the competition. In response, Anuj speculates that Vanraj must be preoccupied with controlling Kavya and Dimpy. Vanraj retorts by suggesting that Anuj may be looking for an opportunity to include Shruti’s name on the invitation card while holding a special place for Anupama in his heart. He concludes by reminding Anuj of their mutual understanding as faithful partners, adding that Shruti has personally extended an invitation they will honor together.

Then Anupama will come to Shruti and your wedding, so he asks him not to do the typical filmy thing, that he leave Shruti on the mandap and marry Anupama. He leaves. Anuj watches.

As the first round begins, Keith instructs the contestants to create a chosen dish. Hitachi opts for something authentic, while Sally suggests they make their signature dish within 30 minutes. Anupama appears taken aback by the challenge. Hitachi stresses the importance of speed and presentation. Anupama reflects on how her passion for cooking brought her to America and reminds herself to trust destiny. She encourages herself not to be intimidated and to showcase her talent on this grand stage. The judges then give them all three minutes to gather their supplies from the designated room before starting their 30-minute cooking time. Without hesitation, all the participants race to collect their ingredients.

Anuj thinks Vanraj is right and thinks he is thinking about Anupama. Shruti calls him and asks him to come and pick her up to taste the dishes for their sangeet in spice and chutney. Anupama’s tray falls out of her hands, but she picks it up. The judges say the time starts now, and Anupama becomes nervous as she tries.

As the Judges observe her, she stands still. Memories of her journey in America flood back to her – Vanraj and Toshu mocking her, Yashdeep expressing concerns over losing their restaurant. She remembers having to cook while holding a baby in her arms. Recalling how she has done it many times before, she reassures herself that she can do it again today. Chanting “Jai Maa Annapurna,” she places celery on the stove. Keith questions her sanity and asks why she is wasting time. Sally explains that it is an Indian tradition. Anupama glances at the clock and notices that others are almost done preparing their dishes. As she slices raw banana and brinjal, the Judges observe everyone’s progress. Keith then turns to Anupama and asks what she is cooking.
