Jhanak 9th December 2025 Written Update begins with Jhanak noticing that Dritimaan looks disturbed. She asks him why he seems upset. Dritimaan asks if she was waiting for him. Jhanak replies that she was studying while waiting and then asks whether Sanjhbati will come the next day. Dritimaan bluntly says his marriage with Sanjhbati will not happen. Jhanak tries to console him, saying that Sanjhbati’s mother is angry now but will calm down eventually, so he should not lose hope.
Rishi joins the conversation and confidently says that he will bring Sanjhbati the next day. Dritimaan disagrees and says Sanjhbati will never go against her mother and Kaka for him. Rishi assures him that he will speak to Sanjhbati himself. Dritimaan insists there is no need and says he knows Sanjhbati will not change her decision. Jhanak firmly says that Dritimaan and Sanjhbati’s marriage should happen and they will convince her. Rishi asks Dritimaan to rest for the night.
Meanwhile, Sanjhbati is shown crying while looking at Dritimaan’s photo. She questions him for giving her so much pain over the years. She recalls how her family witnessed her suffering and protected her, which is why they are angry with him. Sanjhbati says she lived lifelessly all these years, hurting her family in the process, and she cannot marry Dritimaan without their permission.
Back at Rishi’s house, Jhanak tells Dritimaan that her heart believes he is a good person. Dritimaan encourages Jhanak, saying she will achieve great success in her career one day and should not feel weak because of false accusations. Jhanak becomes emotional and says she is grateful for their trust. She promises not to disappoint them and assures Dritimaan that Sanjhbati will return to him. She says no power can separate true lovers. Rishi and Jhanak share a brief eye contact, which Dritimaan notices.
The next morning, the police officer arrives at Rishi’s house with her team. Dadabhai is shocked to see the police and asks why they are there. Rishi tells him that Aniruddh and Arshi are responsible for calling the police. Soon, Aniruddh and Arshi arrive. Arshi states that the investigation must take place. Aditi explains that the jewel is very expensive and Arshi has the right to know the truth. She also says she trusts Jhanak but wants to know who framed her. Rishi asks the police to begin the investigation.
Putul says the mystery should be solved quickly. Neelu tells Jhanak to cooperate with the police since she went to Aditi’s room. Jhanak calmly says she will answer every question. Mishti panics upon seeing the police and tries to leave quietly. Rishi notices this and asks Mishti to come forward.
At Sanjhbati’s house, her mother asks her to sit for breakfast. Sanjhbati says she is not hungry and asks if she will be forced in this matter too. Kaka understands her irritation and says she can marry Dritimaan if she wants. Sanjhbati says she does not want to discuss this. Her mother accuses Dritimaan of betraying her, but Sanjhbati defends him and says he did nothing wrong. She asks them not to talk to Dritimaan if they do not want to.
Sanjhbati tells her mother that she also protected her in the past regarding Kaka. Her mother gets hurt hearing this and says she did not expect such words. Sanjhbati points out that people already think Kaka and her mother had an affair, and she suffered because of that. She makes it clear that she will not marry Dritimaan without permission but will support him as a friend.
Back at the investigation, the police officer announces that she needs fingerprints from everyone. All family members cooperate. She then asks to check the CCTV footage. Rishi informs her that some cameras are not working. Mishti quickly adds that the CCTV cameras malfunctioned. Rishi questions how she knows this, and Mishti says she does not remember. Arshi tells Jhanak to stand quietly as the investigation is ongoing.
The police officer says she will return the next day with the reports. Rishi requests her to catch the real culprit. The officer assures him that she will uncover the truth and not punish an innocent person. She takes the jewel with her. Arshi reminds her to be careful as the jewel is expensive. The officer assures her and leaves. Rishi tells Jhanak not to be scared, saying the real culprit will be exposed soon.
Later, Sanjhbati tells her mother that she was never asked about her relationship. Her mother questions why she did not reveal it earlier. Sanjhbati says she was forced to speak now. She clarifies that she will not marry Dritimaan but will remain his friend. Her mother angrily tells her to go and stay at Dritimaan’s house. Sanjhbati asserts her right to make her own decisions. Kaka supports Sanjhbati and says he will stand by her choices. Sanjhbati reminds them that Dritimaan is a cancer survivor and does not deserve such treatment. She asks her mother not to question her anymore and leaves.
In the final scene, Aniruddh tells Arshi that Aditi will question why Anjana did not attend Dadabhai and Indumati’s wedding anniversary. Arshi worries about Anjana revealing the truth to Aditi. She says she wants to speak to Choton and make him withdraw the case.
