The episode begins with Ranbir declaring that he likes extremely spicy sandwiches and proceeds to eat chilli. Prachi advises him against it, expressing concern for his well-being. Ashok tells him to stop, and Akshay emphasizes that it’s not a competition. Mihika echoes their sentiments. However, Ranbir continues to eat more chillies, claiming that he will have four. Vishaka suggests giving him some honey, while Prachi jokingly suggests getting more chillies for him. Manpreet clarifies that she is just kidding, but Ranbir questions her right to say so. Vishaka asks Mihika to take Ranbir to get some honey, and Ashok expresses his concern about Ranbir’s sudden behaviour. Akshay wonders why Ranbir is competing with him. Mihika guides Ranbir to have honey, and he thanks her.
Ranbir steps out of the kitchen and encounters Prachi, who tells him not to touch her. He reminds her that she is the daughter-in-law now, but she insists that he should keep his distance due to the burning sensation caused by the chillies. Ranbir reflects on the past when he had hopes for Prachi but feels disappointed with her lack of action. Prachi looks at him and reminisces about their moments together, and they both become teary-eyed.
Akshay arrives and inquires about their emotional state. Prachi explains that Ranbir is experiencing a burning sensation. Akshay informs Prachi that the people in the house are decorators and introduces her as Prachi. Ranbir interjects by saying that she is the daughter-in-law. Akshay agrees and requests Prachi to take charge of the decorators. Prachi jokingly comments that she couldn’t handle Ranbir.
Meanwhile, Manpreet is in the kitchen when Vishaka enters and taunts her, suggesting that if Manpreet had managed the household properly, Vishaka wouldn’t need to be there. Vishaka advises Manpreet to keep her eyes open and observe the dynamics between Prachi and Ranbir. She taunts Manpreet further and leaves. Manpreet ponders what she witnessed between Prachi and Ranbir.
Prachi questions Akshay about his clothes and why he claimed to have nothing to wear when he does. She expresses frustration over her workload and responsibilities. Akshay smiles, and Prachi realizes she shouldn’t have spoken that way. Akshay reassures her that it’s okay. Ranbir overhears their conversation and observes how they were arguing like a husband and wife but are now being formal like friends. Suddenly, Akshay places his hand on Prachi’s shoulder and tries to talk to her, but she refuses, citing her busy schedule and the amount of work she has. Ranbir is shocked and walks away, believing that Prachi must be refusing to kiss him. He claims not to care and leaves.
Prachi informs Akshay that she can’t iron his kurta because she has too much work to do. Akshay acknowledges that Prachi knows he dislikes ironing clothes and believes that as a friend, she should have helped him. Ranbir deliberately knocks over the decoration items and instructs the decorators to pick them up.
