They are reluctant at first, fearing trouble, but she begs them, explaining that she only wants to save him. Since they need someone to play the Dhol for their band, they eventually allow Sumeet to join. Sumeet expresses her gratitude for being allowed to join.
The inspector displays a wanted poster of Shlok to the crowd, who accuses him of being a spy in their holy country. They make it clear that they will not let him escape. Upon hearing the angry mob, Shlok realizes they must flee immediately. Akki expresses his hunger and Shlok assures him that they will find a better place to eat soon, but for now, leaving is their top priority. Akki worries about their safety, but Shlok promises to bring them back home and share tales of their journey. Walking through the streets, Shlok encounters someone who initially scares him, but he turns out to be a young boy asking for help for his sick mother. Moved by the boy’s plight, Shlok gives him money from his wallet. The shop owner notices the Indian currency and suspects Shlok of being a spy, causing panic in the area.
Back at their residence, the Chowdhury household attempts to dissuade Sumeet from venturing into Pakistan. However, she remains adamant that she must go to retrieve Shlok and Akki. Raj offers to undertake the task in her stead, utilizing his connections to procure a visa. Nonetheless, Sumeet maintains that time is of the essence and immediate action is necessary. Shlok cautions Akki to remain concealed as being discovered could result in defeat for their current mission. Suddenly, the inspector appears and demands Shlok’s surrender, declaring there is no way for him to elude capture. In response, Shlok gathers some objects and hurls them in the inspector’s direction before sprinting away from the scene.
Despite Dad’s strong disapproval, Raj chooses to leave and handle his trip to Pakistan on his own. Sumeet fears for the safety of Shlok and Akki in Pakistan and insists they cannot wait any longer, as she has a sense that something terrible is happening. Once in Pakistan, Shlok is chased by both law enforcement and an angry mob. He manages to hide but is injured by the inspector’s knife, causing him to hobble away. As he tries to escape, a man tells him that his son is in their custody.
The Pakistani man welcomes Shlok into his home, where he treats his injured leg and assures him that there are good people in Pakistan. He shares how he helped his nephew who needed money for his sick mother. Shlok shares that he is a simple guy with family in India. The man offers Shlok a safe place to hide and reveals that Bilawal, who accused him of being a spy, lost his brother in a war and sees all Indians as enemies. This leads Shlok to adopt the identity of Adil, a Muslim, to avoid being identified.
As Sumeet leaves home without informing anyone, she encounters Poonam at the front door.
